Student Life at Heritage Institute Of Technology

Positive I that education quality is good but job opportunity via placement is not good for current generation students . In this field college required further more dedication in accomplishing good results.

Current course is based on latest syllabus of AICTE , since this college is autonomous so it's little bit different from other private engineering colleges of West Bengal. Exam is distributed as final semester exam and internal exam on interval of 2 months. Also there are assignment in between those internals.

These years my college provide placement but mainly in branches related to computers i.e CSE , ECE and IT , while core branches like civil, mechanical , electrical have low scope in placement as there is scarcity of companies who hire students . So the placement record is little bit sufficient for computer interest branches , while for core branches there is no scope. My college doesn't provide any sort of internship but due to its collaboration with some companies, it provide summet training to interested students.

Events celebrated in college are : 1.Fresher : it's for new students so that they can accommodate and enjoy their new journey in college life. 2.Cultural Event : it's held by different clubs of college in which students participate and outsider can also perform. 3. Tech Fest : In this technology oriented event occurs and debate held among students. 4. Sports event : various students of different branches compete among themselves in different students. 5. Farewell : this held for students who are going to pass out and complete their b-tech degree

Fee structure is simple , all that is required to submit is once in the beginning of semester and then nothing during mid semester . So this is handy and feasible by lots of students as it is quite less than many other colleges.

No ! What I know till date no such facilities provided by this college. If someone request some time during session due to such and such things then they may consider otherwise simply not. There is no such facility annularly for students from any section of society.

Extracurricular activities held each year in form of cultural event , technical event and sports event , in which students of each branch participated and perform accordingly. Labs are held for all branches regularly and there are lab assistant for every lab so , yeah lab facilities are good.

Yes I opted for hostel in first year , rooms are given to students on first come first serve basis . Some room are spacious while some rooms aren't . But each room have their own bed , table , chair and other basic necessities. Also WiFi is there on every floor of building ,so. Overall infrastructure is good but mess food is not so good.

Some seniors are helpful as they help juniors on understanding the course curriculum and also help in settling students comfortably in college and hostels. Some alumni visit and share their experiences and nothing else . Seniors also help students in participating and preparing for exams and discuss career further ahead.

Faculty of my college are BTech degree holder or some are even Mtech and PhD degree holder. Some have vast knowledge in their subjects and also working experience in civil field . While some faculties have knowledge but they are not quite well in teaching . So it's a mixed review.
