Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is quite relevant and comprehensive, covering a broad spectrum of topics that align with current industry trends and academic standards. One of the specific aspects that influenced my decision to choose this course was it's emphasis on practical application alongside threotical knowledge. The curriculum effectively bridges the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements, allowing students to develop critical thinking and problems solving skills essential for professional success. However, there are areas for improvement for instance, guest lecture from professional could enrich learning experience and provide insight into current practicee.Additionally while the course covers wide range of topics could benefit from deeper exploration.Regarding the frequency and timings of Exams ,they are generally well-structured, allowing adequate preparation time

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the academic program is designed to increase progressively from the first to the third year. For the first year, the fees amount to ?7,000, with an additional breakage fee of ?1,080. In the second year, the fees rise to ?10,000, and by the third year, they reach ?12,000. This incremental fee structure reflects the increasing resources and facilities available to students as they advance in their studies. Furthermore, the institution is committed to inclusivity and offers reservations for students from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), ensuring that education is accessible to all. In addition to these measures, there are scholarship opportunities available, such as the Asha Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to deserving students. This scholarship aims to support those who may face economic challenges in pursuing their education. Overall, the combination of a structured fee increase, reservation policies, and scholarship opportunities demonstrates the institution's dedication to fostering an equitable learning environment for all students, enabling them to focus on their academic and personal growth without undue financial burden.

Campus Life

3

Throughout the academic year our campus comes alive with annual fest which fosters community spirit and showcase students talent Notable events include Microbia organized by the department of microbiology, physica by the department of physics, Swastika by the department of chemistry, Resonance by the department of CSIT Additional we have general fest called the talent show, which allows the students to showcase their diverse skills These events are typically celebrated from late December to first week of February in between Any days we announce are events prior creating a festive atmosphere on campus The library is crucial resource for students and journals are provided by the respective departments. It provides access to course related textbooks and reference books however it's important to note that there are late fees for borrowed books, 1 rupees per day for textbooks and 10 rupees per day for reference books which encouraging timely return and responsible borrowing. Extracurricular activities play a vital role in campus life providing opportunities for physical fitness and teamwork. One of the most impactful aspect of campus life is the presence of student-run organization the student council serves as the representative body for the student advocating for our need and organizing events.

Admission

I choose this college primarily due to its strong academic reputation diverse course offering, and robust support for students development.Among the other colleges I applied to Skill meet Academy learning centre and Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts science and commerce college A has short in faculty expertise compared to my chosen college College B has a solid curriculum but lacked the hands on learning opportunities. Ultimately the combination of practical experience and vibrant campus culture made this college the clear choice for me. I did receive rejection from a couple of other colleges primarily due to their higher admission standards. The admission process at my college is quite streamlined Initially, prospective students apply online if they meet the eligibility criteria their names are shortlisted following this we must complete an offline application by filling out the necessary forms and submitting required documents. The payment of fees secures our admission

Faculty

3

The faculty maintain a healthy relationship with students, which is particularly helpful since the college has become autonomous and the exam pattern is now 60/40. The faculty members I appreciate the most are Deepali Khedekar and Ajita Niar because they are very understanding and take the time to consider students' points of view and problems. On the other hand, I did not have a favorable experience with Rekha Bhatia. Although she teaches well, she does not listen to students' reasons or perspectives, often dismissing their concerns by assuming that they are just making excuses; this makes her seem very stone-hearted. Each academic year consists of two semesters, with one internal exam and one theory exam in each semester. The failure ratio varies from year to year, and there is no fixed ratio.

Night Life

1

The Night life around our college campus is quite limited primarily due to lack of vibrant hangout spot. Most students find that after a long day Classes there aren't many options for late night activities or places to unwind. The college library closes at 5: 30 PM which means that students looking for a quiet place to study or relax in the evening are out of luck since there are no hostel facilities provided by the college. The absence of a gym nearby also limits option for physical activity The primary hangout spot for students are the college cafeteria and the nearby Five garden The cafeteria serves as the central meeting point where students can grab a bite to eat and catch up with friends. The locality itself is somewhat safe for students but the lack of engaging activities means prefer not to roam around at night with hospital and a leprosy centre nearby, the area doesn't provide the lively atmosphere.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
