Remarks
Overall it's a good college, as seen from many aspects like study wise, sports, infra but they are increasing no. Of admission so much that quality students are less in no. And everyone with less score in JEE is also getting admission in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good as all aspects i.e a student from any branch is taught basics of all other branches also. So it's good, of seen from engineering pt of view. Exam takes place 2 times in a semester .i.e MST and at the end of semester EST takes place
Placement Experience
The earlier record of Placements is good at Thapar University. they provide internships only to few students i.e less no. Of students get an internship from college side but they are good in providing placement opportunity
College Events
Lots of events take place in Thapar like SATURNALIA, many tech fests, cultural fests like VIRSA, MUDRA, etc. SATURNALIA being the biggest event of the college takes place, and many students from other colleges are seen as an audience in this.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's too expensive really it's too. Normally one cannot think of getting their child into this college, as fee structure is too much high and increases every year by 10% and after including hostel fee, it's on the Everest.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided on the basis of the combined score of JEE marks as well as board exams of the students. And to continue these scholarships in the future years of their study, they have to score a good CGPA.
Campus Life
Labs are good and now new infra is in progress as new buildings are being made for providing better labs and activity areas. New classroom with smart study facilities is being made. Overall labs, sports are average in my view pt.
Hostel Facilities
Different hostels have different reviews as Ac hostel have good infra but not good mess and some other hostels (Non AC ) have good mess quality but poor infrastructure. And so is the fees of the hostel related to these facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
Ya, seniors are helpful, and there is no scene of ragging and if one approaches their seniors, they do provide a path. Alumni network, I m not so aware of it but about seniors, they do a lot for freshers also.
Faculty
They are helpful, but as found in most of the college's, teachers are not so dedicated about providing knowledge, they just came and take lectures without thinking whether students are getting them or not
