Course Curriculum Overview

4

There's many technical subjects which are relevant to the job industry but many of the advanced topics give briefly about the basics and just touch the intermeditae level.but for most of the things like OOPs or DBMS or OS, it's pretty good I suppose. The timings of the exams feels hectic sometimes, as many projects and tests are cnducted before the exams. and midsems and endsems happen within anywhere from one and a half month to two and a half month, usually at around 2. with exams usually everyday depending upon electives. and many tests in those 2 months timeframe which is done and decided by the teachers as well as some projects.

Internships Opportunities

4

There's many big companies which visited like Spinklr,Bain, apple and microsoft for internships, with sprinklr being the best in internship stipened at around 2L/M there's many placement opportunities with many big companies visiting DTU, such as infosys, accenture, sprinklr, Air India etc. and a good portion of people are hired. if you are unable to get an external internship like this, DTU itself also provides some in-house interns but those are often not as good as wanted.

Placement Experience

3

from 5th sem onwards, students can sit for internships(where some of them include PPOs as well) from 7th sem,the official placemet cycle begins, The recent data which is published on public site is of 2022-23 which is pretty okay, though the numbers are on the decline since then, by 2024, about half of the students got placed(the placement season didn't end there, it might have increased since then.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees has been steadily increasing from about a decade now atleast, during 2020 it was at 190000 as compulsory yearly fees for that year with 1,14,500 of it being the tuition fee and the rest as examination, facilities, mediclaim,EWS fund etc., the other constants remained the same but the tuition fees have been increasing since then, Overall compulsory fees have been 1,90,000 for first year, 2,06,000 for the second year, 2,16,000 for the third year and 2,29,000 for the final year(though the fees is same for everyone in tha year, irrespective of which year of course they are in, like a 2020 admitted student in his fourth year(in 2024) will be paying the same as the first year students who admitted in 2024, and so on. The fees originally is compulsory, but if you belong to financially weaker secion or a reserved category, then you can avail some scholarships, some are available and provided by DTU itself and notice is usually published to nform ohers about it. Same is true for nationa and state govt. scholarships, with various slabs of income(undiclosed, as salary may not be the only thing they consider, it's confirmed in an interview) and you could get 100% of all fee, 100% of tuiton fee, 50 or 25,depending upon the income slab for general category too. there's category wise scholarships too like one (national level) scholarship which reimburses the whole compulsory fee + some extra depending upon year). Merit-cum-means-incoe-linked-financial-waivier-scheme used to be the delhi govt's one, which was most widely used among all, as it required the least amount of effort and the regulations were relatively lax. DTU's own scholarship is officially the best when it comes to easeness but there's a higher rejection rate in there, and I am not much aware of national one. There's more private ones but those change every year and some specific for girls, so if you are eligible you may want to look into those. There's also meritorious ones but those are the nes with least p

Campus Life

5

The fests are among the top in North-India, there's many societies too and a lot of extra-curricular activities, books in library are also pretty much available mos of the times,, There's projector's and wifi in almost all classrooms, Sports ground is pretty big and there's things provided by them store room in ther, but usually you will need to be quick as only limited no. of items are available,

Admission

Location proximity (it was close)and established brand name as well as good placements record(on then) couldn't crack advance and thus couldn't get any good IITs but DTU is still among the top, and available after mains too so there was that. cutoff for the top tech branches for Delhi General cateogory usually used to end before 25K, but there's the effect of now newly added seats which might affect it, It's slighly worse for outside delhi candidates because of 85% delhi quota as that skews the rankings. it's counselling is done by JAC Delhi using JEE mains rank as the criteria.

Faculty

5

usually a class may contain anywhere from 60 to 120(120 being highly unlikely as it's usually split at around 75-80, but there were some cases exteding more than this) as far as liking he faculty goes, pretty much a big majority of teachers as well as lab assistants were more than helpful.Trasha gupta mam , LN Das sir, were among the Almost everything type package, taught well, no strict attendance policy, soft spoken and well versed in their topics, usually marking was also good. There used to be Nishant sir from applied physics department which was the best in everything, literally, but sadly from what I know he has left DTU by now. as as far as not liking ones goes, I wouldn't name them but there were some with their marking schemes so severly strict that even if one word is off, he will mark the whole thing as wrong. there's some who don't conduct classes regularly, as with all the things, there's some bad apples among the bunch. Exams were relatively okay-ish for most subjects, some on pretty easy but most belonged to either medium or hard, SP and Financial Engineering being some of the hardest but maybe that was just us. There's some easy ones too but usually the marking is stricter for the easy ones somehow so won't name any of those either. Curriculum is nice for basics but feels slightly short of industry level work requirements, which is to be expected.

Night Life

5

I think the lbrary stays ope till 10PM, there's mic mac(canteen) which is open pretty much all the time. there's many hostels such as JCB,VMH among others and you can get the hostels if you need it, they are usually available.

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
