Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't choose this course for any specific reason. My brother is a doctor and he told me this is a nice field. So I was like why not. Each year is set specifically that one needs knowledge from the previous year to understand what's going on now. Exams are not very difficult as in if you have a basic idea from the beginning about what is going on, you can study in the end and pass easily. This is strictly my experience.
Internships Opportunities
For my course, the internship is 6 months in which 3 months should be done in our campus hospital and the remaining 3 months in any assigned hospital in Bangalore. This 6 months might become 1 year from the coming academic year because of new government rules but no information about that till date.
Fees and Financial Aid
Management seat fee which I'm paying is one lakh forty five thousand per year which include examination fees as well. Scholarships are available for students but there are so many guidelines for this and I don't come in any so no scholarship for me. The fees is payable in the beginning of every academic year.
Campus Life
Events like Tantra and Taranga are conducted every year for the whole university during January or February. There is another event just for COPT called Synapse in June-July. Library has all the books needed for your course and research. The campus has a massive football field and also cricket, badminton, tennis, basketball etc.
Admission
I applied to Ramaiah Bangalore but the result was so late that I already paid my fees here by the time I got approved to Ramaiah. I also got approved in NFSU for integrated MSC in forensic science but then I decided to try NEET again and pursued it for a year and later joined for BPT the following academic year. The admission process was through online application and approval was given based on your 10th and 12th marks. From this year I think the seats are given through NEET. Also students of Karnataka were placed for the course based on their CET marks for a lesser fees.
Faculty
The course is 4 years and exams are conducted at the end of every year and three internals are conducted before. Eligibility to appear for the finals depends on your attendance and internal marks. Marking scheme I feel is lenient as in if you know stuff and am good in English you can easily crack the exam. The faculty gives good assistance throughout in everything either classes or postings.
Night Life
As the college is far from Bangalore City there is no much night life around, but we have our fun anyways. The classes are from 9 to 4. If you are a hosteller and you're going out of the campus, you should get an outpass from the warden and report back by 7:30 PM. Should enter the hostel at 9:30PM, till then you can roam around the campus, drive yulus and cycles which were recently introduced. I am not a hosteller, I live outside so I don't have any of the said restrictions.
