Likes
- The facilities for hostels are good like they provide you bed, a study table and almirah. Sometimes you can cook for yourself in your room.
- The campus is very green and feels good to roam around. Socials interaction with people from others states feels good.
- The placements are also good for BTech students. Also they have alot of events to take part in.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is pretty old as this college is 2nd oldest in India.
- Sometimes there are no holidays on important festivals but still we manage to celebrate it after classes.
- The lab conditions are very bad since this college is old.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is designed very efficiently. Using this in real life much better than hard. It feels very relatable sometimes like we can perform this stuff in near future. We have mid semester and end semester in each semester so that there will be studies going all the time but we also do have events.
Placement Experience
The placements are very good for BTech students. As I don't know much about Mtech but M.Sc placements are also good not too good but average. BTech has the best placements because many companies offer them job as this college is NIT level college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees for per semester is 23k. If including mess and hostel it goes around 50-55k per semester. The food facilities are average but hostel facility is pretty good. Fir SC & ST students the fees altogether goes around 35-37k per semester. The college doesn't provide scholarship for masters student but there are various government scholarships we can apply for which will be free waiver. Also Mtech students get stipend as they appeared for GATE.
Campus Life
As I'm 1st year student I got to know about Ganesh chaturthi celebration, christmas, diwali and Durga pujo celebration in campus. As well we have Rebecca and many other college events which are sponsored. My social and campus life is going pretty well and I'm having alot of interaction with students from other states.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accommodation is good but food is pretty average. But in some hostels there is relaxation with some stuffs. Can be budget friendly for students from middle class background. We can also find alot of pg outside and near the campus which are cheap and safe.
Admission
As this college being one of the oldest ones, it gives very medieval vibes many times. Also the placements and Course curriculum is also best to learn from. Also the faculties are top notch plus the facilities are good as well.
Faculty
As for my faculty, we have three teachers for now and all of them are IITians. They way of teaching is also impressive and good. They will mentor you through you masters journey and supportive too. Basically it's like family to us.
Night Life
For girls hostels they have in-time and out-time but boys are free to roam around at night as well. We have 3 canteens and a cafe in campus which serve good food. Hostel also provides mess facilities and we have gym and 3 playgrounds inside the campus. The campus is safest.
