HIT-An ideal choice or not

If you want time to focus on some other thing then this is the right place as attendance is mandatory only on the sheets and one more thing if you adopt the surrounding you will surely enjoy the college life.

The course curriculum is currently good not upto that better but is student friendly.And from 2019,the college has revised it and reduced some theory papers and added some new course which is industry feeded.For every semester,the college takes two internal tests of 25 marks along with viva,practical etc. and sem exam after that.

Placement is good but not upto the mark and that is too for some branches only.Haldia has many petrochemical industry that's why most of the students from chemical department gets placement with average package.Most of its placement comes from CSE and IT branch as the company visiting the college is Infosys,Wipro,tech Mahindra etc. which recruit mostly in IT sector.Other department has less placement as compared to CSE and IT(75-80%).And coming to the internship,no college does not provide any internship.

The technical fest of the college is PRAYUKTI where the events like robo war and various competition on robotics and rc plane take place.And the cultural fest of the college is RIVIERA where all types of functions like singing,dancing,gaming,poetry etc. takes place.Several events also take place time to time like extra vaganga,sports day celebration,inter college competition etc. where interested can participate.

Fee structure is highly feasible as the cost for completion of engineering only comes around 3.5-4 lakhs excluding other expenses like fooding,lodging etc.Fee for first 4 sem is 40000 and for further sem it costs around 51000 for each next sem.

I am currently in 1st year and I did not know any type of scholarship yet from the college and taking about the loan facility offered by the college,yes it provides loan but did not know anyone who took loan from the college as most of the students came after taking loan from their home branch.

Everytime there are several extracurricular activities took place as it has many socities which consistently indulges into it and now on the basis of these extracurricular activities students get credit point which reflects their results.The lab facility is ok for most of the students and coming to the sports,yes it is good.

Yes,I have opted for hostel.college has 3 (outside campus)boys hostel and 3(inside campus) and 3 girls hostel.For 1st year students college provides outside campus hostel.Overall hostel infrastructure and facilities are manageable and average.Not upto the mark and one who came here have to manage with it.

After coming to the college,one should aware of the seniors for at least 1st sem.At the time of admission only,you are required to submit the anti ragging form and everywhere inside campus or in the hostel,you will see it's poster but all these things are in paper only.Senior rag students,takes intro etc. but if you will be gentle with them things will go with you.But yes some of the seniors do this.Other seniors are indulges in various societies like anti ragging squad etc. which protect you also.its upto you,if you will be gentle to them,no one gonna harm you.

One of the best thing about this college is that the faculties are really helpful and not all but some of them are very talented and teaches in a friendly way.If someone is eager to know anything from their faculty,then it's right place.
