Course Curriculum Overview
I must say frequency of exams is high . We have exams in every 1.5 month but thapar makes it easy to give exams by dividing into practical exams and written ones so there is not a big problem in preparing for them
Internships Opportunities
Many companies reach thapar to pick out students for internships and placements . Students get into interned into many companies . Considering thapar's good repo it make is easy for a student to find internships.
Placement Experience
Placements here are great . Highest package goes around 55-60 lacs inside campus and off campus it even goes in crores. Thapar placements are great with apple , goldman sachs , blackrock, etc . approach students from this college
Fees and Financial Aid
Thapar fees increases every year. Initial fees starts from 2.2 lacs yearly exc. hostel and mess. Scholarship is provided on the basis jee score to the first year and cgpa score from 2nd year onwards. Hostel fees varies from hostel to hostel and mess fees is constant ,i.e, 27000.
Campus Life
My overall experience in thapar is the best i could imagine. There is no problem at all . There are many societies in thapar that we could join which keeps us engaging . There are facilities for all the sports.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel fees for my current hostel is 54500 with mess fees around 27000 so my total accommodation fee is around 80-85k so its pretty much affordable considering the amount of facilities present inside the hostel . Ac , night canteen makes it easy
Admission
Thapar is a private college so the environment here is better as compared to other colleges . Moreover due to its admission criteria it admits intelligent students in both studies and sports. Admission is provided on the basis of jee or boards score
Faculty
The faculty inside thapar is really great. They all are experienced and talented professors. Every one of them is a great teacher. Faculty to student ratio must be around 1 is to 20 which is pretty amazing.
Night Life
Nightlife in thapar is poor as entry time of main gate is 8 o clock with hostel entry time 8.30. I think entry time could be increased so that students could enjoy more nightlife . Every cafe and shop closes at 8.30.
