Course Curriculum Overview

The cirriculam is relevent for building full stack skills, aligning with real world needs thnrough hands on projects. IT supports growth in web development . Adding emerging tech topics and more live coding sessions could improve it. Exams are well paced and balanced for assessing practical knowledge

Internships Opportunities

Our college offers internships with top companies like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS, offering roles in web development, data analysis, and software testing. Stipends range from Rs 10,000 - Rs 25000. Projects include building real time applications, improving systems, and delivering industry relevant outcomes.

Placement Experience

placements starts from the 6th semester. Reputed companies like TCS, Infosys and Amazon visit, offering roles in development, data science, etc. The highest package is 50 LPA average 6 LPA, with 80 % student placed . Post - degree, I aim to pursue a carrer in full stack development or advanced studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

first year fees is 160000 and hostel is 160000 for an year and JYC fees is 1000. This is continued to the next following years making the entire fees of college of four years of 12 lakhs which doesent include extra JYC funds . Yes it is increseing

Campus Life

Campus life is vibrant with annual fests like Cultural fiesta( march) and tech fest TechNova( september). The library offers a wide range of books and e- journals. Classrooms are tech- enabled with smart boards. Sports, clubs like coding hub, and students portals foster holistic growth and networking.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel offers furnished rooms with bed, desks, and Wi-Fi. Meals are decent, with a rotating menu covering basic cusines. Registration is simple and affordable. For rented PGs, localities near waknaghat ( near by place of college) are safe and covinient, with affordable rent and good amenities.

Admission

I chose this college for its strong focus on practical learning, better placement stats, and experienced faculty compared to others . I applied to a few top tier options but faced rejections due to intense competition. admission here involved entrance scores, cut offs, and interviews, which felt fair and smooth.

faculty members are knowledable around there domain and have expertise in industries . course structure is as per the UGC approved and the exam system is three times a semester like T1, T2, T3 and the marking is like T1 is of 15 marks , T2 is of 25 marks , while T3 is of 35 marks rest all will be given by teachers as a part of internal assesment

Night Life

Nightlife around campus is lively yet safe. Hostels close bt 10 pm , but the library and gym stay open until 8 pm. Cafeterias alose by 9 pm. Popular hangouts include the campus cafe, nearby lounges, and street food spots. The locality is secure, allowing stress free unwinding.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements.
