Remarks
I have mixed opinions about my college. The authorities for hostels can be stupid and the wardens are mostly imbeciles who are just here to lick their higher up authorities. They can put wrong allegations on you and put ridiculous fines for no apparent reason. But academically the college is good and the infrastructure is amazing.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good enough to get placements but not good enough for higher studies after B.tech . The subjects are carefully chosen and syllabus is always done on time. Two main exams namely Mid semester and End Semester examinations are held in each semester. One academic year has two semesters, making 8 total semesters/4 years of B.tech course.
Placement Experience
Placements & job opportunities are plenty. Placement season starts as soon as 3rd year/6th semester ends and companies like Dell, Microsoft etc have also come here. The package value though is not very high, usually ranging from ?3.5LPA TO ?4.5 LPA. Other than that, top packages for eg. from Deloitte reaches around ?6 LPA or more.
College Events
College fests are held periodically, we atleast have 2 major events each year and 2-3 smaller events each semester. Numerous famous personalities have been here. From Dalai Lama to Zakir Khan. Other celebs include famous bsnds and djs coming to our college fests, nucleya etc has been here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is expensive but from a private institution point of view it's cheaper than most private universities/colleges, considering the fact that this college is NBA, UGC etc accredited. The current fee structure for each semester in my batch is ?1.5 Lakhs for academic fee, ?21000 for hostel & ?17500 for mess( food here isn't that good but food is always available outside with numerous hotels/restraunts/fast food joints available. Also 24x7 food is available outside via order).
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has tie ups with various banks that provide with student loans on the counselling day itself. Scholarships are available for KIITEEE toppers and academically the batch toppers securing 9 cgpa or more.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are famous in my college. We have all sorts of facilities available for sports, music etc. Multiple fields are present and regular tournaments are held. A whole & huge campus is dedicated for that called the Student Activity Centre. The labs are all properly equipped though electronic items can go haywire anytime the maintainance is great.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, hostel facilities are rather cheap than the colleges in south but the authorities are strict inside the hostel and wrong allegations have happened before where students were suspended from hostel facilities for no apparent reason or a proof of misconduct. The hostel authorities are somewhat idiotic and they won't listen to anybody. They can act like goons and oppress the students.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, seniors are very helpful but due to the ANTI RAGGING policies of our college the senior and junior interactions are quite limited. It's just the ragging part because no ragging takes place here. Alumni networks are not satisfactory.
Faculty
The faculty is mostly very helpful. Some of them are rude and unruly but a majority of faculties are hardworking proffesors teaching thoroughly and helping even beyond class hours. We get daily interactions and motivation for our careers.
