Remarks

Positive thing is if you are talented , they will support you and college will provide you lots of opportunities to grow yourself and nurture your skills. Negative thing is this college is a bit far from main city. So this has negative impact on placements and facilities but overall they are quite good. This college is first private college of west bengal. And it has one of the best infrastructure when it comes to private colleges in West Bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum have changed from the 2018 session. Now I can say curriculum is somewhat updated. It changed for better. They have included Python programming in 1st year curriculum. Earlier it was C language. They take 2 internal exams and 1 external exam each semester.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities are quite average. Placements of CSE , IT, ECE , AEIE and FT department are quite good. Mass recruiters like Wipro, Infosys,Johnson and control are leading recruiters. Our college provide industrial training too. Internship opportunities are not so good. It'd very difficult to get stipend.

College Events

4.5

Cultural activities are quite good. Every even semester we have prayukti, the techfest of college. Along with Prayukti, we have Riviera, the cultural fest of college, in which every year a celebrity singer and musician band perform. This year it was Jubin Nautiyal. We have inter department cricket tournament too, that too in even semester. In odd semester, we have inter department football tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. It's approx ?40-42k per semester. And hostel charges is ?12k per semester. Mess charges are separate and comes according to your eating habits. Generally, mess bill is around ?2500-?3000 every month.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you top your department , your next year fee will be exempted. This is the only scholarship facility provided by college. There is no loan facility provided by our college. You can take loan from outside and study here.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are quite good here. Each batch of 60 students is divided into two groups and they perform experiments in different labs. That is, they are approx 30 students in a lab at a time. Sports facility is also quite good. Main focus is on Cricket, Football, Basketball, Table Tennis.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel infrastructure is quite good. They have small playgrounds too. You can play indoor games. It's quite fun here. You can live a comfortable and enjoyable life here. They have Televisions too in the mess , where hostlers have their meal. You can enjoy on match day.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior - junior networks are quite good. If you ask for help from seniors , they are always there to help you out. They are very helpful. But if you do wrong stuffs, they will thrash you too. After all, I can say seniors are quite helpful. Coming to faculty members, only few of them are helpful.

Admission

I appeared for WBJEE i.e West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam, after result declaration I appeared for counselling. After showing my original documents at counselling center, college was alloted to me according to my rank and eventually I got admission in ECE department of Haldia Institute of Technology.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
