I thought I didn't want to spend my life in a classroom and i need to be outdoors and functional and doing something productive and has a social cause. The politics that happen prepare you to deal with real life politics that can happen in the day to day life of an individual

Campus Life

Utsav aarohan id the festival that is celebrated in December in the college where there are various ciltural activities that take place. Students from many colleges join in to perform art and this is a chance for good networking

Admission

This college has an established name and has a good reputation. Also was closer to my house. Travelling was easy and wasn't a big issue. I was alloted ruia in first round itself so i didn't face any sorts of rejections

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio- 1:50 Faculty is friendly and cooperative I liked marathi teacher. She was so supportive and pushed me forward I really really enjoyed vijaya maam and pawaskar maam physics lectures. Such great teachers. There was no such faculty I didn't like

Night Life

Dps cafe is the most renowned cafe for pav bhaji and other food items. Mamaji frankie is a treat. China man is the best Chinese restaurant and you wont regret going there. All in all really good vicinity and you will enjoy it

From 6 sem th students are eligible for campus placement, there were many companies which gave the placement in this college like eg infosys, biochroma, thakur polytechnic etcthe higesh package was about 11 lpa and average was about 5 lpa , about 80 percent students got the placements but my plan after getting the degree was to do masters

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

Inside scoop on ruia

Out of fright I applied to many colleges like KC , ruia , ruparel , wilson , Elphinstone etc but atlast decided to choose ruia as the microbiology department of ruia is outstanding and the no. of opportunities one can get when in ruia is very vast and the growth which happens in a place like ruia where there is a team/group/society for evey persons liking and ability . I didn't got any rejections as my score was 67 and every other college's science cut off was very low so there were many choices for me to make so as per the credibility of evey college i compared the department and curriculum and RUIA turned out to be the best . IN RUIA ONE CAN DEFINITELY BALANCE STUDIES , WORK AND EQUAL AMOUNT OF FUN DURING FESTS.
