Remarks

Positive:- The faculties of the colleges well professional and the placement ratio of colleges very good. Negative:- The college is situated far from the main town (17 km from bhubaneswar railway station) so you have to travel more to do any work in the town .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good , it is same as that of BPUT. The exam pattern is same as that of BPUT. The exams where conducted very fairly and strictly. There are two internal test before the semester exam to check the students potential.

Placement Experience

The placement ratio of my college is very good as compared to other colleges of the town and state . It lies in top 150 college of India . Yes my college provide intership for the startup for those who want to start their own business . I am in first year so I have no experience and stipend.

My college celebrate all the festival and programs . *National festival ( republic day, independent day, Gandhi jayanti) *All the cultural festival like Holi , Diwali, id , ganash puja , Saraswati puja. *College fest for a week in month of February (sport day , food day , book day , Annual day ) *International day( Earth day , water day )and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible . The yearly fee for education is 1,23,000 and hostel 60,000 (40,000 for hostel bed and 20,000 for food) the class room are full air conditioning and the food is good in quality and quantity.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provide discount on hostel fee and college fee for some financial weak and backward classes of the society.Different state governments also provide loan for the student who need the most .

Campus Life

In our college different type of extracurricular activities held at time to time for the entertainment and for enhancing the talent of students. College has different teams for the different games. There are many labs for different lab activities .

Hostel Facilities

I opted for hostel , they provide us 2 type of hostel ( 2 bed and 4 bed room) the infrastructure is good of 4 bed room hostel but in 2 bed room washroom is attached to every room , their is park for first yaer and college is ragging free and the food is good in quality and quantity.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The colleges is fully ragging free and senior are very helpful and provide a better guidance for our study and other activities. Seniors organisation some clubs for the student to enhance their spoken English and talent.

Admission

I call at the college no. Provided at the website of the college. Then sir asked me about my marks and the branch which I want to choose. Then he invited me to meet at the college and fill the councilling form . Then from merit list(jee mains marks) I got my admission .

Faculty

The faculty of my college is well professional and good on their topics and helping in nature . Most of them stay at college campus and clear our doubt any time when we ask them. Those who came from outside they stay in college from 7:30am to 5:00pm for doubt clear.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

The reality of GITA AUTONOMOUS college

There are 3 ways to join this college. 1.JEE councelling If you have the rank in between approximately 350000 to 1500000 , then you can join in this college without any problem. 2.OJEE councelling 3.You can get management seats if you passed in 12th examination with PCM subject selection . But you have to score more than a specific mark in the PCM subjects. You can apply to get admission in this college by Jossa councelling (jee) website and ojee councelling website. If you want to join by jossa councelling then you have to fill up the form by asked documents and 10000 councelling fees. Admission process is quite easy but there is also an another process in which you just have to contact the college admission department and you have to give 20000 and the college go through every process of the admission by themselves.
