Remarks

My college is the best in any sector. Sports facilities, Cultural activities, Technical events, hostel facilities, Academic projects, Level of education everything is good here. I have been living on the campus for 4 years now.

Entrance Preview

I took the IIT JEE examination to get admission to this college. I got 150 ranks in the cast category. As everyone knows, the quality of knowledge provided in IITs is the best. And you also get a better platform to work on your dreams. Also, it's not just about studies but the healthy atmosphere that you get in these colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum here is really good. You will be taught all the basic courses of maths, physics, chemistry, and biology too. So you get a good idea about whats your interest. And, it also helps in coming years to understand the subject properly.

Internships Opportunities

My college does provide internships. We go through the procedure called a campus internship. The general stipend we get is around 20000 /- per month. Companies come inside the campus and take tests. Different companies have different categories and tests. GD, HR, Case study, etc. are a different kinds of exams. All kinds of companies come for internships. IT sector, Consulting, Finance, Core sector, Analytic, etc.

Placement Experience

5

Every year around 1200 students apply for the placements. Out of which most of them get placed by the end of the placement season. Department wise placement varies. On average, 80% of students get placed from each department. Companies like A T Kearney(14 lakh), BCG(14 lakh, Morgan Stanely(16 lakh), J P Morgan, Shlum(35 lakh), Oracle(1 lakh USD), Flipkart, ola cabs, DRDO, GE India, General Motors, Airbus, Samsung India(20 lakh), Google(60 lakh), Facebook(75 lakh), Microsoft(40 lakh) and many other come to campus every year.

College Events

5

IIT Bombay has world-famous cultural as well as technical events happening inside the campus. We have a technical event called 'Techfest' where students from all over India and across the country to participate in different competitions. Events like Bot racing, Robo wars, Bot fighting, Conceptual design happen. Also, people related to the technical field as well as famous celebrities are invited to give talks or performances. Another famous cultural event we have is 'Mood Indigo' This is a globally sponsored event. Students manage to get sponsorship to make this even huge. Many colleges take part in competitions like dance, drama, singing, fashion show, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Recently fee structure has become a little expensive. Back in 2011-12, the total fee was Rs 45000/- per semester. Distribution is given belowTuition fee - 25000Mess + hostel - 13000 Miscellaneous - 7000 I guess now, tuition fees and mess fees have increased. For my next batch, the total fee is around Rs 55000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally have never tried for any scholarship. But the institute does offer scholarships to students. Every semester, the First 2 ranked students from each department get scholarships. There are many alumni who offer scholarships based on your academic performance and your financial status.

Campus Life

5

Campus life in here is the best. Students get all kinds of facilities which are well maintained. Every year, we have an inter IIT sports competition where all the IITs participate in various sports competitions. We have indoor volleyball, basketball courts, Big badminton hall, Table Tennis hall, 6 Lawn Tennis courts, football court, athletics, Cricket, Hockey, Kho-kho courts. We have students from all over India. The boys to girls ratio are almost 10:1. Every year different debate activities, singing events like swarsandhya, Performance Art Festivals, Inter hostel competition in all categories happen.

Hostel Facilities

4

In here, the hostel is compulsory for everyone until and unless you have any specific reason. Every hostel has its own mess and we also have canteens in each hostel. There are also common canteens, hotels inside the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

The student alumni network here is really good. Every passed out student on his convocation day gets an Alumni card. We have an alumnus meet happening every year inside the campus in which many alumni come for the session and share their experiences. Many alumni also help students financially by giving them scholarships if the student is academically good. They also guide the placements.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very flexible. It's not much hectic schedule unless a student chooses to take extra courses on his own. Even in that case, the faculty adviser first checks if the student is capable of managing that much extra load. Generally in the first 2 years,

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here is really good. They all are well qualified and very supportive. Mostly all of them have done Ph.D. But students in my college are not much dependent on the professor but on themselves.
