Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is actually good here it cover every aspects od engineering, and it will hlep us land a job in college placement,there should be more practical session and the facilities can ve improved and exam comes frequently

Placement Experience

The college provides good amount of placements.Students become eligible for it from sem 6 .The highest package offered was 24 lpa by CISCO and the average is 4 lpa .About 60 percentage of students get placed.My plan after B.Tech is to work in a good company

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is paid sem wise for each semester i have to 480000 for all india quota, for state nerit its around 26000,so in year i had to pay 90000,there are alos may schoolrship that is provided by the state and indian goverment

Campus Life

the campus life was really good i was able to connect with most of my batchmates and seniors and juniors, the library is good as mostly every book that i needed was there and all classes are digital the collge also support extracurruxlar activities and sports

Admission

there reason to choose this college was that it is one of the best colleges in Kerala.It provides good environment for developing the skills that i hoped to develop.I have not been rejected from other college.I have only applied to this college.The admission procedure includes attending the CAT entrance exam and attaining good rank for it.The cutoff was 10,000 rank for CAT exam.

Faculty

there are almost 20 faulty in each department,all of them have a good relationship with students, for each sem we will have 2 internal exam and a end semester exam ,internal exam is mostly easy but smester exam is nir to easy or tough

Night Life

the college have gym in the campus it can be used till 8pm and mornung 6-8, the collge campus closes at 10 pm, till 10pm there will be students in collge playing sports or hanging out inside campus insode the ots same to roam

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More
