Remarks

We students take admission this kind of college just for the placement after completing the course but they has almost no placement, almost no satisfactory company comes for interview. I will never recommend this college to anyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

B. Tech. is a very good course if do it from a well-known college or university. It's a four years course and total eight semesters are there. Each year has two semesters and it ends on June and Decemeber.

Placement Experience

At the time of taking admission we were told this college has 100% placement but when I was in last year I saw the reality. They don't even have 20% placement. Only 3 or 4 BPO companies have come for interview and that's it.

College Events

However the education in this college is but the events list is very long. They will not give you career but entertainment only. There are many events happens in college fest like FIFA, DOTA, Counter Strike, Debating etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was a quite high according to their level. Normally it was 38000 for 1st 2 semesters, 39000 for next 2 semesters, 40000 for next 2 semesters and 41000 for last 2 semesters. But they also have half free and full free scheme.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for any loan for this course but some of my friends were studying by taking loan. So I guess they have loan facility. And they don't have scholarship but they have half free or full free scheme and it depends on your family income.

Campus Life

The college was established in 2003, some work on the buildings are still going on, so some labs can be shifted to some other place. Their labs are average, only computer labs has air-conditioner. All other rooms are non-AC.

Alumni/Alumna

Previously I was a afraid about ragging but after coming to this college I saw there's no ragging in this college, which gave me some freedom under college premises. Apart from that how many seniors I have met they also were helpful.

Admission

I have given an entrance exam called WBJEE, then I got the rank and according to that rank and my choice filling I got admission into that college. And the whole procedure was arranged by WBJEE board.

Faculty

For every course and for every college faculty matters most, if it's good the students will do good and if it's bad students will do bad. The faculty of our college was very bad, they're not even helpful.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Life at CIEM

I have choosen this college because the fee is affordable and I only thought of to get educated and learn all the digital and programming and technical skill with to get Engineering degree. My College Experience Uncovered.

The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development. There was a time when the college had 120 students in the electrical department. Making it one of the highest in the state. First of all i got into this college after a WEBJEE score was published. I got to know about it during councilling process. And got into it. But really spoken every college is equal.
