Internships Opportunities

As an electical student we often try to do internships in Railways , mostly in palakkad where the highest railway station of the kerala situated and also in KSEB substations and also in electrical based companies

Fees and Financial Aid

We pay 50,000 rupees yearly which includes our tution fees, sports and arts fees and exam fees. Till now there is no increament in our tution fees. In the case od scholarship we get atleast 5000 per year for students which are included in OBC category.

Campus Life

College life is an exciting adventure. Its a time to meet new friends, and learn new things, and grow as an individual. The freedom to choose your classes and explore your interests is libersting. You will face challenges like tough exams, but they help you grow.

Faculty

Faculty members are well qualified, approachable and supprtive, often holding advanced degrees such as MTech or Ph. D.. They are noted for their willingness to assist students with academic guidance and project support

Night Life

Night life around my college is not bad but not as good as colleges in banglore , our night life is limited, but we try to enjoy within the limit, and try to grab so many memories and moments as many as possible.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
