Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is approved by aicte, so it is well defined as it follows guidelines. Syllabus is alligned with modern engineering needs. Teaching method of all teachers are awesome so they provide in-depth knowledge of every subject. Lab are also well equipped.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided mostly in core companies like bccl, iocl, ongc,etc. College will provide internships for most of students with stipend of around Rs-10000. You can work for projects under professors to learn more. And also there are lots of opportunity you can move to
Placement Experience
Campus placements are excellent in HIT, more than 200 comapnies visit here for recruiting students from core and it sector jobs. Highest package of last year was 33lakhs and average package was 5.75lakhs. Almost 95% students are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees:-582000 for bachelors of technology including all the charges(without hostel and mess). Hostel charges are 12000 per semester and mess is billed upon what you eat. College also provides scholarships so you can apply for that and fees will be reduced. Merit cum scholarships are also provided in direct admission. Orphan child scholarship is here in which 50% fees are waived off. There are many other scholarships as well.
Campus Life
College life is decent. Cultural fest riviera is second biggest fest of west bengal after iit kgp. There are so many sports tournament in college where you can participate and enjoy. There are student-run societies also some of them are HITTimes, Needs, Civiliance,etc. here you can learn both theorectical and extra-curriculars
Admission
Selecting this college apart from any college is because of its pocket friendly fees structure rather than paying 20 lakhs for same thing i will be paying just 6 lakhs. And return of investment will also be greater than ohter colleges, so i opt for hit. Admission process is simple,you can get seat through wbjee or direct entry(management quota) as well
Faculty
All faculties are good. Most of them from top iits,nits. They are very friendly. My favourite faculty is md. Mahabul islam sir, who graduated from iit kgp and post graduated from iit madras, he teaches very efficiently and creatively. Exams are easy if you study well(2hours each day only). Otherwise paper will be tough for you
Night Life
Night view of campus is nostalgic,you will fall in love with this. There are some hang-out places like riverside,which is heaven. You can enjoy cafeteria, garden restaurant, city centre,etc. Also locality is very safe so you can roam freely without any hesitation
