Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate 4.8 of 5 to the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. Because these courses prepared us well for real- world applications and also for further academics pursuits. There is no need of improvement vecause they use to modify the courses according to the demand of real world that hwlps us a lot. Ample amount of time is there for exams and difficulty level was good.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies came for Internship like Wipro, Genpact, Deloitte, Tata Technologies, High Radius etc. They all provide stipend around 15000 to 25000 per month. Projects and task depend upon the role they offer and these helps a lot to gain experience a out the work and also how the corporate works.
Placement Experience
From the end of 6th semester companies start to visit our college. More then 800+ companies visited for placement and I got placed. Some companies are Tata Technologies, OPTUM, Deloitte, Accenture, Wipro, JSW, AMNS, Maruti Suzuki, BOSCH, State Street, GE Healthcare, PWC, TVS, LTI Mindtree etc... Highest package vary from branch to branch, in Mechanical Highest was 13 LPA with an average of 7 LPA in core sector. One vest thing about college is that it gives 100% placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fee structure for my batch was : Tution fees- 175000 per semester, admission fees - 75000 ( one time) , registration cost - 1000 per semester . Scholarship was there on basis of Rank u achieved in KIITEE exam .
Campus Life
Name of annual and tech fest are : KIIT Fest, KIIT MUN, Kriti Utsav, departmental tech events etc. Various range of books and ebooks are available in library with a world class library infrastructure. Sportsfacilities in KIIT is comendable with various ground for different sports. There are many student run social groups and clubs.
Hostel Facilities
There are various types of room available with 3 bed non ac, 2 bed non ac, 2 bed ac , 2 bed ac premium, 3 bed ac etc. We have international hostels also for students whom cone from abroad. Meal is tasty and hygeine is maintained. Registration process and all ia very easy and everything is done during admission .
Admission
I applied for Manipal, VIT, SRM and other colleges. But I choose KIIT because it has a brand value and also due to its outstanding academics and all. I wad getting confirm seat in every college but I choose this above all. No I didn't got a rejection from other colleges. The admission process is simple you just have to appear for KIITEE exam or you can also go through JEE mains. Eligibility for KIITEE exam is juat 60% in 12th . Cutoff is not that high and also paper is moderate. Overall admission process is very simple and is very easy, everything happens at one place only that is in campus 6 auditorium.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio was good. The faculty had a nice relationship with there students, always available for the students whenever they needed. Faculties clear doubt in various different ways and also guide the students so that they didn't get confused afterwards. There where many facukties whom I liked like Hemlata jena maam, Puskar sir, Ajay sir, Nitin sir, BC Routra sir. They all are form my department i.e. Mechanical. Exams were normal to lit difficult in terms of applications. So that student that furnish and test there knowledge. These exams helps us to monitor our progress and also helped us to prepare for prestigious exam like GATE. Per semester two exams were held, mid semester of 20 marks and end semester of 50 marks, and practical and viva of 30 marks .
Night Life
Every campus has its gym , Library and cafetria. Closing of time is 9 pm for all. Hostel timing is 7.30 to 8 pm . Inside KIIt you all can hangout in MBA campus, Mechnical campus, Rise garden etc, and outside many places are there. Locality is safe and secure to roam around at night.
