Lot of companies visit college for recruitment and they always comeback due to the quality of students they recruited Some of them provide internships other than that college does not provide any direct internships

Extra curricular activities are best in the college the arts and sports area of the college is best know in the state. Its having a huge sports ground and all sports facilities and faculties are available Lab facilities are good enough for the curriculum

Some departments posses good alumni connections and the alumni s are at the highest positions in many indian and international companies Alumnis visit campus for gathering and help in accademic and extracurricular funding and other helps and advices

Admission

I have written common admission test for cusat graduate course admission after my 12th. And i got rank near 1500 and got admission in merit in department of information technology. At the next stage of admission i got changed to civil engineering

Faculty

The faculty is very good with a wide knowledge and they are having good very heping mentality. They are having good knowledge in all subjects have good qualifications and they are availble any time needed.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More
