Remarks

College is good but needs care & development a lot. Labs need improvement , need a auditorium , proper sport's equipment , well maintained environment , proper help for the club , classroom need's maintenance.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have fully autonomous course from 2017 onwards before it used to follow biju Patnaik university rule of Odisha. We have two exams internal & external external of 70 marks & internal of 30 marks. We also have practical marks too of 50 marks

Placement Experience

We hava somewhat ok ok placement. Rate about 75% as of now. Ee have goid companies like asian paints , Vedanta etc. No it doesn't provide on regular basis.ues government schemes are therefor stipend

College Events

We have both technical , branch & cultural fest. We have good number of participants from outside too. We were delighted to have darshan raval, kenny sebestian etc in the previous editions of xtasy (our fest).

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible, some brach have 30k some ssc branch thata are not supported by government has 80k fees per year whivh is quite cheap than other colleges. We have various government schemes whivh provides free fees service

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarship are available by Odisha government like prerna, medhabrutti etc which supports students for ease of studies. Another some alumni scholarship is also available for the students. But not all are getting benefited

Campus Life

We have clubs no of clubs , but sadly labs equipment doesn't work properly & so are even rusted old stuff. We also have badminton court, basketball court, cricket & football field but jo equipment at all

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni network is useful. Every year college organise a meetup for alumni so alumi also donate amount for the wellbeing of the college & development of the students reading here & in case of medical emergency & financial support too

Admission

My college is a government college so first you have to give jee main then undergo counseling of Odishajee to get admission then you need to give preference of the particular branch u want to opt. Then we have cuttoff according to it

Faculty

Some faculties are good but the one's woth contractual basis needs improvement. We also have super senior faculties with ton of knowledge & practical application but usually students find boring & college must improve it

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple.
