- KIIT has excellent in first structure, it has one of the best infrastructure among all the private colleges including many IITs and NITs. It has huge campus more than 6000 acre.
- Apart from studies KIIT has excellent name in cocurricular activities all over the India. It has international level sports facilities like hockey stadium, cricket stadium, swimming, tennis , rugby.
- KIIT offers student to continue their passion by providing them with best facilities. It have many clubs ,many society where student can showcase their talent and shape themselves into a better human being.
Dislikes
- As I have heard from the seniors that the placement scenario is average. The average package of the student ranges from 6 lpa to 8lpa.
Course Curriculum Overview
As this is the era of artificial intelligence so this fascinates me a lot to know about the subject and so have taken this curriculum. As I am from 1st year so in first year we almost have all the subjects of applied science so I could not tell much about the course of artificial intelligence and machine learning. From 2nd year onwards we are going to know more about the subject we have chosen.
Internships Opportunities
Since I am still in first year I don't know more about internship but how much I have heard from my seniors college provide you proper internship and you can also acquire PPO from the companies. Otherwise you can also apply internship from your side.
Placement Experience
The campus placement is good average package of 6 to 8 lpa. Companies like Bain & Company, CME Group, DE Shaw & Co, Deloitte, EY, JP Morgan Chase, KPMG, MacKinsey, Nielsen IQ, TCS, Infosys etc visit every year With 3000+ job opportunities. About 87 to 90% of the student get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
In KIIT the yearly fees of CSE(AL &ML) branch is 4 lakh. There are total eight semester, each semester fee is 2 lakhs. During the time of registration we have to pay 75k of which 10k is counselling fee which is non refundable. There is no as such fee concession for SC and ST student. KIIT also take student from management quota based on there 12th result and merit. KIIT provides scholarship who have scored from 1 to 1000 rank of about 10000 to 20000 per semister. KIIT also provide scholarship student SC and ST students.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good in KIIT and obviously you will feel very pleasant experience. The international level playground , swimming pool , gym will cherry up for your 4 years and there are several define club in KIIT in which you can join according to your passion. The classrooms are well equipped with different technology like projector and smart boards. KIIT is having one of the biggest library. There are many different fest which takes place in a very well organised manner. You will enjoy your college life
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is quite good. I have opt for 3 sharing non AC. Each student have their personal wardrobe and study table. The hostel has study room where we can go and study. Monday Breakfast: UPAMA GHUGUN/SREAD POHA, BREAD BUTTER TAM, TEA Lunch: RICE ROTLMASOOR DAL PANIER ALDOCAPSICUM SEMIGREVY/BESAN ALODCURRY, MIX FINGERCHIPS SALAD, BOILED VEGETABLES Snacks:MAGGI/YIPPET/JHAL MUDHI, TEA Dinner:RICE ROTLDAL TADKA, ALDO SHINDI ONION THAL FRY, RICE KHEER, MIXED BOILED VEGETA Thursday Breakfast: PAV BHAJLCORNFLAKES WITH MILK BANANA & COFFEE Lunch:BICE, ROTI, DAL, EGG CURRY CHHOLE ALDO CURRY, PLAIN DAN PAPAD MIXED DOLED VEGETABLES Snacks: ALOO SANDWICH,TEA Dinner: RICE, ROTIDAL FRY, HERA ALDO, GULAB JAMUN MIXED BOILED VEGETABLES Hostel experience is very good.
Admission
Apart from studies this college gives us the opportunity to do different type of activities. This college also have one of the best infrastructure , quite good faculty as compared to many top colleges of India. To get into this college you have to clear KIITEE examination conducted by the college with 75% in the 12th board. It also take admission through JEE mains and management quota. KIITEE examination is moderate. KIIT have many courses apart from BTech, it has cources like MBA ,BBA, BCA, Mtech, many foreign languages. It also has its own medical college , Kalinga institute of medical Science and Kalinga institute of social Science (KISS).
Faculty
As I am from first year so the teachers are very much approachable.The difficulty of exam is moderate but I had from seniors that from second year onwards it is going to be very difficult. Very few teachers are approachable and most of the teacher do not even get ready to give the internal marks. But 1st year is comparatively easier and scoring.
Night Life
The closing time of library is around 10:00 p.m. and cafeteria is around 9:00 p.m. The hostel in time is 7:30 p.m. and we cannot go outside of the hostel gate after 6:00 p.m. There are many stall outside the hostel starting from golgappa to shake, momos to kabab. There is all type of food available starting from Domino's ,KFC , Burger King Starbucks and what not. We are not allowed to go outside of the College campus at night.
