Its not like an Engineering college. There is no facilities for an engineering college. Its like just a School.
There is no library time.No projectors. No social Interactions. Etc

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to be an Aerospace Engineer. As a Starting I opt Datascience as my UG. Course Syllabus is changed this year. There are somany changes students want to improve. In one year there are 2 semester. Atleast one semester must be in 5 months. But in 3 months they complete 1 semester of 4 modules & exams are oming really difficultly.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 190000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly I'm paying 1,90,000/-. Totally 7,60,000/- is my college fees. Tution Fee is yearly 1,00,000/- & Registration Fee was 15,000/-. For studehts qho have above 85% marks in HSE they provide a small scholarship & the fees lower to 90,000 yearly. Hostel fees is 90,000

Campus Life

There is no annual & technical festivals held along these months. There are books & journals available in library.. But we are not interested in them.. They have to arrange some interesting books & journals in their library. There is not even a projector in the class. Technically I rate 2/10 the college. There are no clubs & activities, social groups etc for BTech.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is really pathetic. Rooms & hostel provided looks like a ghost house. Meal served is not edible. If we looked on the food we want to vomit. I want to change to a rented room or PG, but locality is not much grown up to think a girl is safer in such a place there.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

I dont seek any other colleges. I just decided this college because it is nearer to my home. So doesn't get any rejections from any of the colleges. 15,000/- was my registration fees. Then the class started & 1st semester fees about 50,000/- is payed. Exams are on the way.. Coming days are my exam days.

Faculty

Boy:Girl ratio is 95:5. Faculty:Student ratio is 80:20.Faculties are not really friendly... There is somany partialities in their mind. In BTech Akhila Ma'am & Aiswarya Ma'am are the best mentors in the College. They are really friendly & understandable & caring. And also Vimith Sir who teaches Physics really friendly & like our elder brother. In a year There are 2 Semester exams & each semester have 2 internal exams. Subjects are really tuff but if you study really hard Its easy.

Night Life

There is no gym, cafeteria, library etc after 5pm. Hostel is really pathetic. College doesn't allow hangout, & they are thinking like we are really small kids. And also they have a really great partialities between boys & girls. Also the locality is not much safe & good for night hangout. Somany bloody peoples are there for harm.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
