Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I opted for is a very versatile course. It is a very dynamic field and has made me learned a lot in life. The curriculum is well designed with the equal distribution for theory and practical sessions. There are some extra subjects like IOT and Employment Skill Development to prepare us for Industry and Competitive Exams. The teaching method is boring sometimes when theory is more imphasized than the hands on. The exams are held twice in the year and a few class tests are taken as the course proceeds.

Internships Opportunities

4

I am currently in third year and the internships are generally taken in 4th year. however there are companies like wipro, presistent etc, that provide Internship in my college. The internships are stipend based and are given to you as per ur field of interest

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placement from the 3rd year second semester itself. Students can do part time jobs and internship during this time. The college offers 100% placement and also encourages student for startups. College also offers funding for these startups and connect the students to the Alumini of the college for further guidance. The highest package for the entire Engineering Department was 41 LPA in 2023 placement drive. For mechanical it was 17LPA. I am planning to work for 2 yrs before pursuing for MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have been paying 3.15 lakhs per annum. There is a scholarship for the student who have high ranks and they recieve consessions for the same. There is some quota for the admission for students with caste benefits. Those students need to submit required documents to the management for verification purpose.

Campus Life

5

There are many events that happen in the college. The 2 major Events that happen are RIDE and Aarohan. The first one is an educational event that elaborates as Research Innovation Design Entrepeuneurship. The other one(Aarohan) is a cultural event where there are concerts, comedy nite and cultural competitions. Apart from this there are events like Bhartiya chattra sansad (BSC), Social Leadership Development Program ( SLDP), etc which are meant to make students ponder upon present life situations. There are many clubs that include tech and non tech departments. few of them are:- Robocon, Piranha, SAE, Drifters, Cultural, etc

Admission

I applied for a few other colleges like MMCOE, COEP, Symbiosis and DY Patil. However the cutoff of the COEP was high. I got the other 3 colleges but I chose MIT over them as there are a few criterias where MIT seemed better than the others. MIT has a better Placement options and has amaazing infrastructure. The college has better faculty than the other colleges. I went through MIT's Entrance Exam and got selected. however the college also has intake on the basis of JEE and CET. Most Students dont know about the Entrance exam at MIT and hence majority of them join through JEE and CET.

Faculty

5

The Faculty is very helpful and polite. The try to be attentive to every student in the class and make the best delivery of the knowledge possible. There basically 2 faculties for one subject- one for theory and the other for practical. The senior faculty and the HOD have more amazing teaching skills and they make the class more intense. Few faculties can be difficult at times are they are more into theory than practical knowledge and hence the subject becomes boring. There are 2 semesters in an year. A midterm exam of 20 mks and an Endterm exam of 40 mks are conducted. The are mildly difficult for all the students to understand and pass. Some subjects has high failure rate as the subjects are difficult. Eg., SOM, DOM

Interview Experience

4

Yes, I took an Entrance Exam for getting into the college. There were two different exams for Engineering and Other departments. For Engineering, the exam is divided into 3 sections Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. It is quite similar to the MHT CET exams that takes place for Engineering Entrance Exams.

Night Life

3

The college offers sports areas and gym for the students to unwind after college. There are many cafes and gaming zones around the campus for students to relax and have funtime. The hostel intime is 9 pm and students are allowed to get back to their rooms till then. The college shuts down at 7 and students except the club members who work late night are not allowed in the campus. The locality is safe at night however I would suggest the females to stick to the 9 pm rule.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

I'm choosing this course because I'm interested in programming languages. Faculty members here are at the best level. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They made lectures most interactive. All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
