Average College, But definitely better than its counterparts.

Course curriculum includes conceptual learning and then we have labs for the same to learn actual implementation. We are free to explore new methodologies within the subject and use the resources of the college to implement them. However, I suggest that the amount of practical lectures should be increased. Each semester is of 5-6 months, so there is an interval of 5 months between each university exam.

Internship opportunites are avilable online. The college sorts opportunities for us and if we are eligible we get selected. Multiple opportunities are sent to the students via mail and thereafter it is up to the skills of the students whether he is shortlisted or not,

Students become eligible for placements once they complete their third year. Companies like Accenture, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, TCS, and many other startups do visit the college for hiring, however good companies hire only a few students. Without boasting much, the highest package ranges around 12-15 LPA only on campus, but there are students who have cracked packages of 60 LPA off campus. The average package is around 4.5-6 LPA Almost 90 percent of the whole batch gets placed and many students have multiple offers too. As far as I am concerned, I will definitely sit in the placement drive.

Campus life is good. Cultural events do keep happening but college refrains from conducting them at the cost of studies. Annual cultural fest-EPOQUE occurs in around March-April. Many famous artists perform here. SInce I have been in the college, I have seen Darshan Rawal and Jubin Nautiyal here. Technical fests are conducted by the technical clubs. Annual technical fest is INNOTECH. Many cultural cluns are also present such as for singing, dancing, photography and videography, beat boxing etc. Sports facilities are available such as cricket, football, badminton, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, chess, carrom, billiards. An indoor gym is also available for the hostellers. Overall campus life is good, but there are a few restrictions imposed on the students regarding in and out timings.

Hostel facilities are at par. We are provided with rooms which may be 2,3 or single seater based on the availability. The rooms include a bed with mattress and pilow, a study table and chair and a cupboard. rooms can be AC/Non-AC. The mess food as usual is at par, some of the dishes are good and some taste bad. However it is part of hostel life. Hostels are alloted on first come first serve basis.And if someone wants he can live in PGs outside. There are both girls and boys PG available near the college at affordable rates.

I applied for a few best colleges in AKTU such as Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College(AKGEC), JSS Noida, IET Lucknow, and my college KIET. My top preference was IET Lucknow, but as it is a government college, its cut-off was high and I couldn't make into it. I was allotted KIET which was second preference. Admission process was very much simple as per AKTU counselling, during my time. However, now the college is autonomous so it has its own Admission process, which is purely based on JEE scorecard and your marks in your 12th class.

Most of the faculty is well qualified. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:18. As we follow AKTU curriculum, the faculty is well versed with curriculum and knows how to guide the students in achieving good marks in university exams. Every faculty who taught me, did not rely merely on notes, they focussed on conceptual learning. Most faculties are P.Hd. and many are pursuing. You are free to interact with faculties either offline or online. They are supportive and will help you anytime.

Nightlife is very much restricted. Gyms close at 9:00 PM. All the cafeterias and shops are closed at 12:00 AM sharp, thereafter if you want to eat you have only your snacks at your room. However the library remains open till 2:00 AM in the night. Students generally hang out near the temple. Last entry time for students is 9:30 PM for boys and 8:00 Pm for girls.
