Course Curriculum Overview

3

I picked electrical as the electric vehicle industry is booming currently. The exposure for electrical here is good, however some professors aren't very interested in industry visits. I'd recommend the teachers to bring in more industry experts and have the students see the new tech personally. The exams aren't too frequent and they're easy

Internships Opportunities

4

Idk much about the internship opportunities much as I'm only a first year, but majority of the sthdents get internships. Students do projects in relevant fields for the specific roles . There are many internship opportunities for mechanical, electrical, electronics , CSE and IT

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good for electrical and mechanical as the city is a big automobile hub with giants like skoda and Audi. Students become eligible for campus placements in the 4th year, before that they can get internships through college. The comapnies that visit this college are Nvidia, TCS , siemens, varroc, etc. Nvidia has highest package of 13-15 lakhs, Varroc also had highest of 13-15 lakhs. The median package of this college would be 5-6 lakhs. Around 60-70% students get placed, the placement percentage is low in civil.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for the course is 82k a year for OPEN, reserved category students can avail scholarships for SC/ST, OBC, EWS, SEBC, PWD etc. Apart from this there will be exam fees per semester often lower than a thousand rupees. The fees for EWS is 70k ? . There's also earn and learn scheme and some scholarships from Siemens.

Campus Life

3

The infrastructure is okay, the sports grounds and courts are good, although not everyone can access it. We have a techfest WINGS, and a cultural fest and they're decent . The campus isn't much happening about the extracurriculars. The clubs, there aren't many, although some are good like Team Aryans, Ventures, Kalarpan. There is a lack of clubs for art like painting and drawing or sculpting. There's a recently started music club too. Every class has a projector and a digital board. The books available in library are mostly academic related, we get free access to multiple relevant journals.

Admission

I applied to a few colleges like VIT mumbai, DY Patil Akurdi and Thadomal, i didn't get admission in thadomal and DYP, but i did get admission in VIT Pune, i picked GECA because it's closer to my house. I didn't confirm my admission in VIT and was too late to do so. My college GECA accepts admissions through CET centralised admission process based on the MHTCET scores. The admission experience was smooth.

Faculty

4

There aren't enough permanent faculty members so they hire teachers on contract basis, some are good while some aren't. The student faculty ratio is decent though. Many faculty members are quite supportive with both academics and extra curriculars. I like Mote mam, she's the physics teacher, she guides us with extra curriculars too. I kinda dislike Sathe and shinde sir, sathe sir didn't conduct much of our lectures. We have ISE1 , ISE2 , internal assessment and the end sems, they're all fairly easy. The course curriculum is kinda relevant to todays time but not so much.

Night Life

3

There's no nightlife in this city. The hostel curfew timings are 9 pm for girls and 10 pm for guys. The gym is decent but small, not enough for many people. Cafeteria isn't too big neither, and the food there is bad. Library is big but it's not very clean. The campus is full of trees and greenery, many small gardens to sit in. Many students spend their time near the basketball court. The locality is decently safe to wander around at night, many people go to different cafes outside college or to Cannought to hangout.

Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

I'm choosing this course because I'm interested in programming languages. Faculty members here are at the best level. They are very supportive and knowledgeable. They made lectures most interactive. All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
