Remarks

No remarks needed it gives us various facility.from academic section to gaming along with extra curricular activities.with huge library.it helps us a lottt.so no more remarks needed according to me.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good.this course consist 3 yr.on the 1st yr we have to study the main hons part along with two general subjects.hons subject have 2 paper and generals have 1 paper each.on the 2nd yr the hons paper remain same but general become 2 paper each for each subject.on 3rd year we have to study only 4 hons paper. According to me it's good.

Placement Experience

As I am just reading at 2nd yr I don't know the complete opportunities provided by the college.so i can't describe this part briefly but I think they provide us good opportunities for job placements.

College Events

Almost most of the events are celebrated in our colleges.from new year to Christmas all the events are celebrated in our college.even every year a cultural festival organised for 3 days.where college students performs in various programs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's expensive for a poor guy to study inour college but they provide the installment system that helps to those guys.you can give it by 2 or 3 installation.if someone has very poor condition then fees concession also done.

There are various singing dancing competition.also there are many sports competition for indoor and outdoor games.in indoor games there are caroom table tennis chess and outdoor cricket football badminton etc.

Best seniors I have ever had.they are the best senior according to me.so much helpful.I also try my juniors to give my best.we don't think us as senior just try to behave with them like friends.

Admission

Filled up the form online then according to the merit list we appeared at counselling.It was just a human verification.then according to seat we got chance.on the next day we have to give the fees and got admitted.

Our college faculty is so good all the professors sir & madams are so much helpful.they help us in theory & practical both so it will be easier for us to completely understandable the subject.so it's very helpful for us.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied in a lot of colleges such as presidency, st Xavier's College Kolkata, Lady Brabourne, Loreto , Scottish Church got accepted in scottish, Loreto , brabourne I chose Asutosh because they made me feel comfortable and has the best geography department. I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. An honest opinion by a recent graduate

I applied to presidency, st. Xavier's, but as I was from Covid batch, I couldn't meet the required cutoff for those colleges. So yes I got rejection from them. Had I given my ISC board exams, I believe I'd have scored better marks, but hard luck :) I willingly chose this college over the other colleges of Calcutta University, considering this is the best. This college gets numerous applications, so it might be difficult to get the admission, but work upon your merit and connections. There's no entrance. You need to meet their eligibility criteria which keeps get changing, so refer to their website. Your merit will be considered. You must have a good network as well.
