Course Curriculum Overview

I basically wanted to choose mbbs since my childhood. Patients doctor bond and interaction is what i like the most. The curriculum now has early clinical exposure and field visits often that prepares for real world and academic pursuits. They could in teaching more practical and clinical rather than sticking to books. We get a 1month prior of study holidays and 1day gap in between the exams. Exams are for 3hrs duration 100 marks each paper .

Campus Life

4

There will be minimum 1 fest every year. Typically in month of april or may. There will be sports day too. Library have wide variety of books and we can refer them whenever needed. Sports activites like intercollege competition will also be there like basketball, cricket, throwball .

Admission

I applied to all govt medical colleges and private medical colleges in bangalore for mbbs . I dint get any government medical colleges because of my neet marks. I got admission in akash medical college in govt kota it is through counselling based on neet marks. Admission process is simple we just have have to fill the given form and submit the medical test report. In 2022 neet cutoff for our college is 515 for govt. kota

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is good. Its like there will be one teacher for 5students in practical hall. Practicals will be done in batches. The faculty i liked the most was Vasudha mam from anatomy. She is friendly and approachable. She teaches things a way that students understand very easily and can grasp the concept. All the faculties were good . There was no one like i dint like .evryone were approachable and cleared doubts anytime we needed. Every week there will be practice test either mcq or short answer type. And there will be 3 internals every year and one final exam. Around 30% students fail in internals and 5% in final exam.

Night Life

4

We have a nescafe inside the college itself. And there's a canteen with good food too in the hospital. Library have wide variety of books and can refer whenever needed. There's also society and stationary shop inside the campus itself . As i am dayscholar i dont have much idea about hostel but as far as my friends told the warden is friendly and the food is good. Nandhi hills is lieterally 30-40 mins far from our college . The locality is safe at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
