Motihari Engineering College in my Point Of Views

Because I am passionate about different types of softwares , and new new technologies thats why i have choosen this branch (CSE-AI). Our curriculum is average for making us prepare for real -world . I said this beacuse curriculum of our course is some how old and exactly same as CSE but AI branch should have totally different syllabus. Our college should improve new technologies and also change curriculum according to need of industeries. Teachers should also take care of new technologies andd helps students in their career with giving him best guidence. There are 4 exams in a year in which two mid semester examination and two are end semester examination . Mid semester exams are of 30 marks for each subject which is held by our college while end semester examination are of 70 marks for each subject which is held by University(BEU). Also there is Viva and practical exams also with respective of subjects.

There is some internship which is the part of the course and provided by our college itself in which you got certificate and marks which have also some credit points . For better interships opportunities you have to do hard work and research yourself and studetns of our college got internships in Flipcart , Amazon, CDAC, BARC and DRDO like compnies with some stipend also. They got differnet projects with respective of their barnches and interest and this internships help them to build a effective resumes for their campus placements.

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is companies like Wipro , Infosys, ACC, Copegimini, Congnizent, TCS visited our college for campus placements. There is very less number of offers given by companies and also there is almost negligible offers for Lower branches(like Mechanical and Civil) . There is highest 12.4 lakh per annum for a CSE student given by TCS and average salary of 4 LPA . There is only 50 to 60 percent students got placements in which majority are from CSE , CSE-AI , and EEE branches. My plans after getting the degree is doing M.tech from any reputed Colleges of India like some NITs or IITs depending to my Gate Score.

We are paying around 15k to 16k per year for academics . Tution fees is around 10 rupees per year , admission charge is around 3200 rupees for General and OBC category and very less for SC ST category , development charge is 2500 rupees for each students per year. Examination charge (Registration fees ) is 7400 rupees per year for general and OBC category and for SC ST category it is 1400 rupees only ( means 3700 rupees for each semester for general and OBC and 700 for SC ST ). There is Bihar Student Credit Card accepted here in which you got upto 4 Lakh as a loan in which your academic charges as well as non - academic charges like hostel charge , mess charge and Laptop fees all are included , at very low interest rate (like 2or 3% per year) . Also you can avail NSP or PMS like scholarsships if your eligiblity matches their criteria.

There is UMANG (Annual Fest of MCE ) held every year in first or second week of November in which there is cultural and sports both events are held in which newly admitted students that year participated more and knows about there college and differnt types of clubs and groups which is being operated in our college. Along with this UMANG there is Engineer's Day, Sarswati Puja, Fresher's Party, Independence Day and many more such type of Fests being organised . Our college mainly focused on Sports because we have enough facility ( Like enough equipments and Huge playgrounds ) to develop our sports activities very well . Our faculties also encourage us in this and motivate us for sports and fitness. Yes there is different social groups and clubs run by students in which students participate / joins and enhancing their skills like ther is Zero One Coding Club, PRAKARM, Dancing Club , Painting Club and many more.

There is three beds, two beds and single beds are present in different rooms . In which there is a almirah, a table, a chair , a bed , fans light and windows are present for each students. In hostel ther is water coolers , grizzers and common TV rooms ,GYM and indoor game also present in our college hostel. There is average food quality (Rated 3 out of 5) and also you provided non veg foods two times in a week ( mainly chicken) . For renting a room you can check around T Point , Bypass , DAV Mode and at worst case you have to go for HAWAI ADDA also.

I applied for different college in which I also got Muzzafarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) , Muzzafarpur but I don't take admission in MIT because it is far from our residence after that I am being selected for this Motihari Engineering College with CSE-AI branch and I joined this college because it is in our district and almost 13 to 15 Km only from my home. For admission in our college you have to give exams either JEE MAINS or BCECE ( Bihar Engineering) afetr that we have to go for counselling process in which we have to do choice filling . After sometimes counselling result announced and we got college with respective branch accoding to our UR Rank or scores( Percentiles). Cutoffs for CSE , AI like upper branch is around 80 percentile to 90 percentile for OBC and General category and less than 70 are also sufficient for SC ST category. Girls got reservations also.

There is sufficient faculties present for students . The faculties present in our college are well qualified ( like some are IITians and NITians also) they teaches us very well thats why relationship between students and faculties are almost good . I mostly like Aditya Sir (MATH) and Saket Sir(BEE) because they teach us very well with real life examples. Vijay Sir ( Former HOD of CSE) , I don't like much because they havesome how rude behaviour from students. There are end semester exam held in every six months and mid sem exms held after every 3 months. Semester exams are hard too much thats why only 70 to 80 percent students passed in these exams.

There is three boys hostels( OBH, NBH and NNBH) and two girls hostels present in our college. Two academic buildings, two temples, a huge playgrounds , two badminton courts, gym, ATM , Canteen ,Stationary etc. present in our college . Students of our college also viseted Chai Tapari outside of our college campus and near main gate of campus for enjoying CHAI with their frinds. Their is PMC, famus hangout place in our college at where couples are mostly visited to meet each others. Yes locality is safe for boys only in night but not for girls that why they are not allowed to remove from their hostels at 8 pm.
