Motihari Engineering College in my Point Of View

I choose this course of Mechanical Engineering because I have much interest in practical problems and machineries that's why I choose this course for exploring new technologies and machines. Our curriculum is not good enough for industry ready beacuse there is some absence of knowledge about new technologies and implementation of AI and ML in Mechanical Industeries. We have to give three exams in every semester in which first one is mid semester exam ( internal of 30 marks) second is End semester Exam ( External exam of 70 marks ) and last is the Practical (Viva) Exam of 50 marks. These all exams are very tough we have to study across the whole semester for maintaining our CGPA.

Companies like ACC , Flipcart , Amazon , CDAC, DRDO etc. offered internships for our college students with differnet roles and projects but in all these very few students got stipend for their internships. These projects are very helpful for making student CVs strong and making student campus ready.

From 7th semester students are eligible to seat and apply for campus placements . Eligiblity criteria depends on companies but if you have 7 CGPA ir more than that then you don't need to worry . Companies like Godrej, ACC,CDAC, BHEL, Infosys, WIPRO ,TCS etc. visited our college for campus placements. Highest package from our college is around 13 Lakh Per Annum and average placement is 3 to 4 Lakh Per Annum Its totally depends upon companies and their job profiles. There are almost 60 to 70 percentage student got placement ( In upper branches like CSE& AI percentage is slightly high otherwise it is quite low for civil and our branches) My plans after getting a degree that is I have to go for M.Tech from any IITs of India I am preparing hard for that.

I pay around 14000 rupees per year in which 3200 rupees as Admission charge (At one time in starting of 1st semester) , tuition fees around zero ,development fees 2500 rupees per year and exam fee (registration fee) is around 3700 rupees per semester means (7400 rupees per year). For SC-ST category it is around 5000 rupees including all the fees ( in which admission fee , development fee , tuition fee and examination fee etc) for a year. There is NSP and PMS like scholarships are provided in our college on the basis of there eligiblitiy criterias. Also in our college Loan on Bihar Student Credit Card is acceptable in which your all course expenses ( including tution fee, admission fee, registration fee , mess and hostel fee, stationary and laptop etc) upto 4 LAKH Rupees are being covered at lowest interest rate.

In our college an annual fest that is UMANG held every year in month of NOVEMBER in which lots of sports, cultural and fun acitivities happen . In UMANG mainly new admitted students of that year take participated and explore about their college and respective clubs and societies. Apart of UMANG , Sarswati Puja, Engineer's Day, Independence Day , Fresher's Party and many more events are oftenly happens in our college. Our college have huge library with more than 17000 books on different topics (Academic and Non-academic also) . You can avail books ( 5 book at a time ) for maximum four months by just showing your COllege ID Card. Sports facilites in our college is very good beacuse college have big ground thats why students practices regularly here and enhancing their sports activities.

College hostel have great facilities except their food which is below average sometimes ( 3 out of 5) . In hostel student hvae provided their personal bed , chair , table , almirah , windows , adopter , fan etc and also in college their is free WIFI, Water Coller, gizzer etc available for students . Mess food of college is really unhyginic and not that good students are facing lots of health issues in hostel. They have limited food options also. registration process and accomodation of hostel is on the basis of tstudents academic and first come first get process. For rented room on best price you should go through Bypass Mode, DAV School, T Point etc.

I choose this college beacuse I am not able to get any NITs( Due to because my JEE MAINS Percentile is quite low for that ) and also this college is one of the best college for Mechanical Engneering in all of the Bihar Engineering Colleges. For admission in our college student should have to give either JEE Mains or BCECE ( Bihar Engineering Examination) after that they should apply for respective counselling process( UGEAC for JEE MAINS other wise BCECE ) and student got college with their respective branches according to their rank or percentile. For top branches like CSE or AI in our college general category student percentile should above 85 and for SC ST it is 70 percentile only. Girls also got some special reservations here.

The faculty to student ratio is 30 : 1. Relationships of Student and Faculties are very good they understand each other very well. I liked Shailesh Ranjan Sir very much because they help us in our every projects and studies also. Also I like Aditya Sir , Abhay Kumar Jha Sir , Satish Sir etc. also. I didn't like Vijay Sir( Former HOD of Computer Science and Engineering Department ) because they are very rude with another departments students mostly with Mechanical department students. There are three exams in every semester in which first one is MId Semester Examination( Internal Exam of 30 marks) which is held in mid of semester , Second one is End Semester Examination ( External Examination of 70 marks) and last Viva - Practical Examination ( It is of 30 + 20 marks). these all exams are very hard and we have to study whole the semester for scoring good and maintaing our CGPA. Our course curriculum is average relevent there should be some changes required.

There are one gym in boys hostel and one gym in girls hostel , two temples ,One Library , one canteen, stationary shop and one ATM present in our college campus . For hangout boys mainly go on Taparis outside of college gate and enjoying tea with .... .Hostel timing is 6 am to 9 pm for boys and girls both while you are not allowed afte 8 pm in college campus without any reasons. Famous hangout places in our college is PMC ( Piya Milan Chawk) , College Canteen ,Ground etc.
