Genuine Review of Motihari Engineering College

I have much interest in physical machines and automobiles thats why I select Mechanical engineering . Curriculum of our college is good but there is too much lack of new technologies and machines in our couse curriculum . Like we are learning here how many types of saws, chisel ,files etc but government and BEU should be understand these things that this is the era of new technologies thats why they should change our course curriculum for making us ready for industries. Our old curriculum is the main reason for unemployblity of Mechanical Engineers from our College (or any Bihar Engineering Colleges) . There is two exams per semster in which one mid sem which is held almost 3 months after entering the new semster and after 6 months there is end semster exam. Exams of Bihar Engineering is on time except some special cases.

There is very less opportunities provided by our college for internships . Student their self work hard and finding best opportunities which can help to build their resume best for campus placements and enhancing their skills . But our college students got internships opportunities in DRDO , BARC , FLIPCART , AMAZON , CDAC like companies and government organisations. In some internships they got good stipend also . There is different projects given by companies with respect to students branch and core subjects .

From 6th semster you are eligible to sit in campus placement . There is companies like Infosys , TCS , De Walls Ads , Wipro, Congnizent, ACC visited our college for campus placements . They have limited offers with limited packages also they have some eligiblity criterias like students should have CGPA above than 7.5 . Highest package offered in our college is 13 LPA per annum by TCS for a CSE student and Average package is around 3.5 to 4 lakh per annum. There is highest placements in branches like CSE ,EEE andCIVIL. Other branches got less offeres. Totally 50 to 60 percentage students got placements from our college because majority lower branch students are preparing for government exams like SSC , UPSC, BPSC , DAROGA and GATE. My plans after getting the degree to go for highes studies (M.TECH) .

We are paying around 15000 to 18000 rupees every year . In which there are almost negligible tuition fees (Around 10 to 20 rupees per semester) , admission fees is 3200 for general and OBC and less for SC ST category. Develoment fees is 2500 per year for every student. Examination charge is 7400 rupees per year

There is many fest and programmes held in opour college time to time. There is an annual fest also named UMANG which is held in first or second week of november month every year in which there is different different cultural programmes and sports happened . Newly admitted students of that year got more chances to participate and explore there colleges and know about facilities available in thier college . Also ther is different fest like Engineer's Day, Fresher Party , Sarswati Puja , Independence Day are organised in our college very well in which every year's students take participated and enjoyed very well. There is a big library present in our college in which there is more than 17000 books are available and differnt types of journals and magzins present in our college. Facilities of classrooms are very good. There is lights ,fans,smartboard etc are present in every classrooms. Sports facilities is one of the best part of our college . After studies here' s students and faculties are most interstedin sports like Football, Cricket , Volyball , Badminton ,chess etc. Because of large playgrond and enough facilities of sports equipments ther is no any problem held in Sports facilities. There are many different types of groups and clubs are present in our college like dancing club , painting and sketching club, poetry club but most active club is PRAKARAM (Sports Club).

There is three boys hostels and two girls hostel present in our college with different different room size means some are singlebed , some double bed and some triple bed. Mainly first year student given to live in triple sharing otherwise senior students got choices in this thing. Quality of hostell mess is average but edible ( Rating 3.5 out of 5) . there breakfast ,lunch and dinner is provided in our hostel mess . Also there is non veg food given two times in a week . Hostels is provided on the basis of academics of students means there percentile for first year and SGPA for other seniors also it is easy to afford hostel in our college because ther is 60000 rupees per year only including all the food and other charges. For room you should go for T POINT , DAV mode, and BYPASS.

I also applied formechanical Engineering in Muzzafarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) , Muzzafarpur but I have low percentile as requirement for MIT thats why I am not selected in MIT , Muzzafarpur . I named this college after MIT because it is the one of the oldest Bihar Engineering College and also ranked in top 5 Bihar Engineering College that is main reason I selected this college. ` For admission process you have to give exam like JEE MAINS or BCECE ( Bihar Engineering Exam) . After that you go through the respective counselling process means if you are from Jee Mains you have to go UGEAC and if you are from Bihar ENgineering Exam then you have to go for BCECE counselling. You have to do choice filling after that you got college either in first round or in second round.

Number of faculties are good enough but in some branches there is no faculties of some subjects. In this case our college have to take chances of guest faculties to teach that subject. Relationships between students and faculties are good because almost all students are very polite with there respective faculties ( Due to marks which is given by faculties in Mid sem Exam). I like most Pathak Sir ( Sports) , Ashish Sir( MATH) and Juhi Mam( PPS) because these teachers are very helpful for their students and also their teaching style is very good and understandable for everyone. I don't like Vijay sir( Former HOD of CSE) because he have rude behaviour with students ( Mainly Mechanical and Civil students). There are 4 exams in a year in which two are mid semester(Of 30 marks) and two are end semester exams(of 70 marks) these exams are very tough and you have to studey whole years for score well in these exams . Only 70 to 80 percent students passed in these exams.

My favourite hangout spot in our college is ground of MCE and canteen which is present in our college. There is gyms (One for girls and one for boys) , one canteen , one library present in our college campus in which you can hangout with your friends . Hostel is usually opened from 6 am to 10 pm whereascollege timing is 10 am to 5 pm everyday except sunday. Also there is PMC where our college couples usually meets and outside of college gate there issome TAPARIs where boys groups prefer to meet with enjoying CHAI and ..... .
