Bad Highlight the college had very bad Management system. They never work on time they don't give proper clarification about anything. It goes like government offices only where student have to roam to number of desks for a single work and then ultimatel

I didn't took any Entrance as the admission was based on cut-off basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was quite good but the faculty was mixture of good and bad. Most of the time classes didn't run especially in 2nd and 3rd year.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship included in our course.

Placement Experience

Yes there were some placements through our college and few of my friends opted fro those jobs. Rest like me were involved in doing other professional courses like CA and CS.

College Events

There wasn't much festivals conducted in this college. In span of three years of my course there was only one fresher's party and then 2 or 3 small functions in total.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no need for any scholarships when you go to government colleges like these as the fees is already very low. I completed my whole B.com in 10,000 rupees i guess.

Campus Life

As I said i was a B.Com student so there wasn't much activity involved in our course. Yes the gender ratio was quite good in our college.

Hostel Facilities

There was no hostel or mess of our college.

Alumni/Alumna

I had no experience with any alumni or seniors in terms of studies as they show up only during the time of elections of DU. But at that time it is fun because their are lots of parties and all.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I have applied all the colleges of Delhi university because I have given c u e t which means common University entrance test so after the completion and admission process started I had a preference this college at my number 32. No I didn't get a direction from other colleges my marks in the cuet exam was 532 out of 800 and I belong to general categories so far it's very hard for the general category student to get admission in a very good course and very nice colleges so far I didn't get the rejection and after normalisation my school gets to low I think after normalisation my core gets detected around 100 marks. As far away you have discussed that I have entered in the college through see you it which means common University entrance test so after clearing that exam I need to login in the du portal after that I have preference the colleges according to my level so it's not tough it's a very easy if you will clear your concept of class 12 exams or subjects....Read More
