Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is outdated. Students cannot get jobs by studying the course subjects. They need professional training on different subjects to get placed. Core companies don't come to our college. Only this year 2 core companies have came.

Placement Experience

They provide either internship or job. You cannot do both.once you get selected you cannot sit for other jobs. Some of the students got internship in Intel at 10lpa and others got jobs for around 3.2-4.0 lpa for IT based companies.

College Events

Celebrating events are the worst experience in our college.Tight budget and you know there are always sub groups formed and they are each others rivals.so if one group is given an opportunity then others try to embarrass them by creating fights.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yeah its expensive for middle class families. Its almost 4.5 lacs for 4 years. They take 500 each semester as sports fee but they never conduct any events related to sports. Its been a major problem for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship and loan both are provided. They accept loan from any bank but they prefer Punjab National Bank because Punjab National Bank has tied up with our college.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are helpful if you know them. Otherwise no one helps.

Admission

Depending on the marks of 12th and entrance exam i got admission in the college.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
