Course Curriculum Overview

4

The difficulty of exam is easy. The exams are not very tough. The curriculum is designed by Bar Council Of India. The curriculum provides students good knowledge about the subject. Teaching method is also very great.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for 1st semester is ?80,000 this comprises of ?70,000 as tuition fees and ?10,000 as other. The fees for 2nd semester is ?40,000. Not all the students are required to pay fees for second semester for example students belonging to EWS. The college is quite affordable as compared to National Law Universities

Campus Life

5

Many extra curricular activities are also included in the course. Freshers party is also conducted every year for the freshers. Elections also take place in odd semester whereas fests take place in even semesters.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is very cheap in Panjab University. The hostel fee for 1 year is about rupees 12000 which is lik ?1000 per month. But this doesn't include mess and canteen charges. Mess and canteen food is satisfactory.

Admission

University Institute of Legal Studies is a great college. To get admission in UILS you need to take an exam which is MCQ based and the mcqs are based on General knowledge and current affairs. Also you need to get good score in your board exams

Faculty

4

The faculty is very nice. They have the correct knowledge of their respective subjects and knows how to teach and they help students in many problems which are not even related to subject. Faculty also help students to make correct choices in their life.

Interview Experience

4

Yes there was a test based on MCQS type questions. Legal and general awareness questions come in the test. The 12th class percentage also matters alot in the admission process. The test can be cracked by 1 month of crash course.

Night Life

1

The night life is satisfactory as there are not many places around the campus which are opened for the whole night. There are no restrictions on the students in the campus they can go out even at 3 a.m.

This is a little vulnerable part of our university as placements aren't it's biggest strenth. A batch size of 300 and only half of ir finds placements from RGNUL. Yes around 40 odd firms have inked deals with RGNUL but still getting the desired results in favour of placements will take some time.

In our University, students are eligible for campus placements in 5th year of their degree for BA.LLB.(Hons.) and in LLM. they are eligible for placements in the 1st semester itself. Many Law firms visit our university like Khaitan & Co., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, etc. One students of our university got a 2.5 cr. placement offer from Linklaters Llp. a firm based in U.K. My plans after getting the degree are to start litigation or give a try in UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good as there are many subjects which are important from the point of view and law like sociology and political science and we also have a new subject UNGP which allows the students to know about UN helping them in public international law and internatinal law understanding. The curriculum might not help everyone in real life but the environment you get there and surviving there surely hell one in real life The recommendation from me to do improvements is in checkinh as many students get few marks initially but after revaluation they increases
