Likes
- The campus has a good environment. The faculty is also very nice. A class comprises of 60 students which also includes sometimes group discussion.
- The department gives us opportunities for various national level ADR and moot Court competitions, which helps us to embrace our skills.
- The department also gives us opportunity to participate in various extra curricular activities. Elections are also held for various executive posts.
Dislikes
- The condition of washrooms is not good. Some hostels also require management.
- There should be more group discussions and effort should be made so that each and every student engage in different competitions.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a good course to go for the department also gives us an opportunity for internships, specially for final year students. It is compulsory to intern. It also gives us opportunity for Nu Karnatak, which is compulsory for final year students and for which they are given marks.
Internships Opportunities
The university makes compulsory for final year students to go for internship, specially in High Court or district court. The internship is for one month and there is no stipend given. But the internship experience is great. It helps a student to learn more and more about the practical life of an advocate.
Fees and Financial Aid
1 Year fees for the department is ?1,80,000, which also includes a director fund which once we have to pay in a year, which is ?9300. The fees for the reserved categories is less as compared to the general, there is also a category which is known as NRI students. Their fee structure is different from other reserved categories and general categories.
Campus Life
It was a good experience as it the department consists of different type of committees. For example, ADR committee, different quiz committee, different fest are organised for which there are different committees sports committee. Also there are our department so our department also focuses on extra curricular activities, other than the studies, which is very important.
Admission
After the national law universities which are considered as the best for doing law in our country. The state level government universities come secondary to national University. One of which is Punjab University, which is in Chandigarh so doing law from Punjab University is the best opportunity other than the private institutions. This university also take entrance test as a selection criteria for the students who won to take law as a career.
Faculty
The faculty is very good, mostly, the professors have PhD as their professional degrees. The exams are held per semester wise in each semester. Midterm exams are held and then the final semester exams are held. It also includes internal assessment which includes projects and was.
Night Life
The night. Life is very safe for the hostlers as the hostels have wardens. There are police officials which are appointed and have duty in different spots of the campus, which make it very safe. Moreover, the people of university the students are very helpful.
