Course Curriculum Overview
PDEU is very much considered one of the best private university for mechanical and petroleum engineering the workshops and labs at pdeu are very advanced. As it is an energy university we get a lot of exposure to companies like Reliance and Adani Power. Every semester you have internals and externals, The timetable is very productive as we only have one exam a day and there are also no unnecessary breaks in between the exams.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities available on the campus in 3rd year but the faculties also help you get an internship in the early years but that would not be from college but they always encourage you to also go for the off-campus internships and various workshop programs to developed your skills for the market.
Placement Experience
The college offers excellent placements as compared to other private universities and also gives better foreign opportunities. Every branch gets the best companies around India for placement interviews and also very good exposure to internships and career guidance.
Fees and Financial Aid
My Name is Soham Panchal, I am doing my graduate degree in mechanical engineering at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar. I paid 2,55,000 rupees as my total college fees per year which includes tuition fees and registration fees per semester. The college fees depend on the category of admission as the student who gets admission in the TFW(Tuition fee waiver) Category only pays the registration fees of 3,000 per semester. Also, the college provides scholarships on JEE scores and your cgpa in semesters. The Hostel fees on campus are around 1,50,000(Varies every year) but if you opt for private hostels near Pdeu, it will cost you 1,60,000-2,20,000.
Campus Life
The college life experience is something else at PDEU, The college focuses on the social aspects of students. There are various clubs where you can connect with people sharing the same interests as you. Also working in clubs provides you an experience in your field. The sports infrastructure is also somuch better than many colleges. The college provides exposure to many sports tournaments where students can showcase their talent and also very good facilities are provided for every sport. A lot of sports facilities are available on campus as table tennis, Tennis, Football, Basketball, Athletics, Cricket, and also a variety of indoor sports.
Hostel Facilities
In my hostel there are pesonal washrooms, personal wifi, and AC facilities. The hostel also includes a library to study and a gym for students to workout.The hostel mess provides meal 4 times a day which starts with break fast with which you can have coffee, tea or bournvita, also the cornflakes are available. Then in the afternoon we have a full course meal and then in the evening you get snacks with tea or coffee. in the night there's also a full course dinner.The hostel is situated very near the college which make us easy to travel though there is a bus service available from hostel to college ut the college is at the walking distance of 700 m.
Admission
My college is one of the best private universities in gujarat and gives good market exposure. The curriculums of the courses are designed to make you efficient in every way includes technical and business knowledge.
Faculty
The faculty-student ratio in the college is decent and the classroom contains only around 70-80 students. Hence, the teacher is more reactive to every student and classrooms are more interactive. The examination patterns are also very accurately designed to get the best out of students
Night Life
There are different cafeterias on the campus which provide every kind of food and also different groceries for the hostelites. The rest all necessary requirements are fulfilled in hostels like A.C rooms, Clean washrooms, Laundry,etc The famous hangout places in the colleges are the cafeteria the Freeze Land Cafe and he gazebos where students can get together and chitchat or can work the is also charging stations available
