Remarks
Being a cse student I feel that exposure in terms of technical aspects is not available here. They focus more on extra curricular activities and less on the technical things. This is the only drawback which I feel is there.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very old the syllabus is also very outdated. Least practical knowledge is available. Exam structure includes 5 units and 2 are covered in the mid sem exams. There are 2 exams held one is the mid sem and the other is final semester exam.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunity for the students who belong from computer science background is pretty good. Placement opportunity is provided to each and every student and the companies visiting our campus are both mass recruiter s and product based companies it depends on the candidates ability which interview he can crack.
College Events
The events celebrated in college are basically lohri, janmashtmi, and cultural fest. As lohri is the festival of punjabi's basically and the evening time whole college gathers together along with the vice chancellor and celebrates a grand lohri with songs and lohri burning in the center.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is quite expensive , but the facilities available to us are according to it. And almost everything that is provided to us is quite good. The food is also okay. The taste is not that good. But everything here is hygienic.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per as I know the scholarship available or offered by our college is based on two parameters. Firstly if there is some financial crises in your family then your grades are checked and afterwards if they're good scholarship is offered. Secondly , the scholarship is given if you have scored the Highest in your course. And a scholarship available at the time of admission is based on 12th and jee score.
Campus Life
Sports activities are available like basket ball court, badminton court. Proper training is given to the students who want to take it. Other than that table tennis is also available. Dit is a hub of extra curricular activities whether it be dance singing drumming playing any other instruments or anything else dit has a room for almost every extra curricular activities. Labs are also good with internet connection in almost all the labs.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for the hostel. It is clean, hygienic cleaning is done everyday. Washrooms are cleaned twice a day. Laundry facility is available. Hot water in winters is available. The rooms are well furnished. The food taste is not good but it's fresh and hygienic.
Alumni/Alumna
They are very helpful. Some of the alumis are in spain and they reached there by their hardwork. They regularly keep guiding us and tell us about the new opportunities and new technologies that we can grab to make ourselves better and to improve our resume as well.
Admission
Admission was through jee mains counselling according to our ranks students are called and seats available in different courses is displayed and then the candidate is asked to choose from the available seats.
Faculty
Faculty is good and they're also concerned for the students who they think are interested in studying. Some of the teachers have very good knowledge and some don't. It depends which teacher you come across comes with a vast research work or is just graduated and arrives here for teaching.
