Likes
- The quality of infrastructure is good.Total 3 blocks for departments one for computer science,AI and data science. Another for Electronics and communication,VLSI,mechanical and automobile. And other for civil and electrical & seperate labs for each.
- Teaching methods are good. They are very supportive and encouraging.The college is disciplined and we get enough freedom also. No ragging are take place in the campus
- Ratio of students in the college varies from department and year. Mostly boys are more than girls. Especially in mechanical and automobile engineering departments.
Dislikes
- The programs are less compared to other engineering colleges I guess. We got only 2-3 program a year including onam , Christmas celebration.
- The college is 7 km away from town. So sometimes there is a travelling issue. Because we got buses from there to college in a gap of 30-60 min.
- Shops are less near the college. No good food spots are here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I has 8 semester. Each year have 2 semester. And each program have credits. It is an industry oriented course It includes engineering graphics, programming, workshops and practical industry needs It have courses for skill development Such as communication and professional ethics it enhances soft skills and employability. Semester 7 and 8 include final year project and electives.
Internships Opportunities
Many internship oppertunity are available in the college from Nectar, Unisys, Cuvette, SOTI, UST global, Qburst, Sutherland, Zafin, Roles are offered such as trainies and many other fields. Major project are fine in s7 and s8
Placement Experience
From 2nd semester college offer placement trainings. And in 4th year Placement starts. Companies offered placement are UST, Visteon, Electrifex technologies, Qburst, Indian oil, Adani grp Pvt Ltd. 7 lakhs is the highest annual income companies offered and 4 lakh is the average annual income. 70% of the people got placed in 2024. My plans after getting the degree is if I got placed I work there sincerely. Other wise I try for off-campus placement or I will continue my studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got admission in college in merit wise. For all courses merit-wise fees is 80000 per year. For all year the amount is same. Tution fee is 50000. KTU exam fee is 4200. Special fee is 25000. value-added course fee is 5000 and KTU sports fee is 530. For management quota fee will be differ. And for NRI courta it will me more than 100000. For management couta depends on marks fees may be lower than 80000.
Campus Life
In this year college arts fest is held in the month of March named as ' Vipanchika' and on September onam celebration is held named as ' Thandavam' and Christmas event held in December names as 'Jingalala' There is a huge Library in the campus. We can get books using library card and we can also refer books from there itself. There is a huge books and labmanual. The library timings are from 8 to 6 on regular days. The facilities in classroom are all classroom have one camera and one projector and 6 fans and 6 lights and large windows for air conditioning. Sports such as cricket, football, Kho kho, kabaddi, basketball, volleyball, badminton etc. every year annual sports meets are held. Yes many social group are active in the college such as Tinkerhub,FOSS club,ORSO,NSS etc
Hostel Facilities
In a room have 3beds and 3 tables a shelf for each person and common bathroom. For jnrs girls hostel 2people in a room and a washbasin also in the room. For snr mens hostel they have attached bathroom Meal quality is good. There is separate menu for veg and non veg.menu are changed monthly or after 2 months Monthly hostel fees is 2000 and mess fees is 141 for a day.
Admission
I got admission in merit basis. I got 37k rank in keam. I have applied in many colleges many of them were government colleges. And I don't have that much rank to get in government colleges. And in private colleges my top 3rd college is SSET. I don't get any rejection from other colleges. I got SSET in the first allotment and take admission in first allotment itself because it's a good college.And have good placement oppertunities. The exams are accepted here are keam, JEE,and 12th science stream passout. The admission procedure are one get admission through keam,jee,and management quota and NRI quota.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio varies from department to department. In a department there are more than 15 teachers and 3-4 labs staffs. Most of are good for approaching. They are ready to clear our doubts any time. In the college there are two internal exams and one main exam. The two internal exams are taken by the college.
Night Life
There is a gym inside the campus it can be access inn both morning and evening from 6 am to 8am in the morning and 4 to 6:45pm in the evening. cafeterias are open from morning 7:30 am to 8:30pm. Library are open from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday. Gates are closed by 7pm. Hostel timings are enter in the college gate is 6:45 pm and in the hostel is 7:45pm for girls and for boys time for entering inside the campus is 7pm and inside the hostel is 8:30pm. For second yr boys hostel are outside campus. Yes locality is safe to roam around.
