Remarks

College has a good environment for study. Regular classes occurred according to regular class routine. Our college has good and well equipped computerised library for us. But our college campus is much smaller. That's a big problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I'm studying Microbiology but this subject hasn't any boundary. I've to read biochemistry, biophysics, botany, chemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology etc. The total course is divided into 6 semesters. There is 2 internal assessment conducted per semester.

Placement Experience

1

Although our college has a placement cell but I didn't hear about any kind of placements. But also respected sir and madam of our department and also our alumni facilitate internship program in various companies.

College Events

3

After getting admitted at Kalyani Mahavidyalaya I've celebrated induction programme first. Then I've celebrated teacher's day programme. Then I've enjoyed at Freshers and at the official college fest called "spectrum".

Fee Structure And Facilities

Neither feasible nor expensive. Fees at Kalyani Mahavidyalaya isn't much expensive like any private colleges. But it's expensive than other government Colleges. Fee structure is especially expensive for Microbiology, Biotechnology and Computer science.

Fees and Financial Aid

College gives us tuition fee waiver scheme. Also the student union waive tuition fees from their own fund. But that's not too much, only a few money. College also give us railway concession and bus concessions.

Campus Life

3

Labs at Kalyani Mahavidyalaya is well equipped and well maintained. There're also organised extra curricular activities like quiz, seminars, debate, poster making, recitation, singing etc. A annual sports is organised every year.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, our seniors are too much helpful for us. They help us to know the subject properly and the outcome of this course and also the job opportunities from this subject or this course. Our alumni network is too much strong.

Admission

We all know that the college admission process is going through an online process. Firstly, fillup the form online with correct data. Then a final merit list come according to the intake capacity. Then go for document verification and pay the admission fees online.

Faculty

4.5

Our college faculties are too good and well educated also. Our HoD sir is a UGC-NET qualified PhD holder. Other faculties also have PhD in Microbiology. They're also very familiar to us. They nurture us as their own child.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
