Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed electronics and communication because we can either opt computer science field or stay in electronics firld.But the curriculum doesnt prepare you for industry readiness.you need to update and improve your skills by yourself.

Class Size: 71Course Fees: INR 44000 per year

Placement Experience

Semester 7 or 8 students are eligible for placement offers while lower semester students may get internship opportunities. Last year highest package was around 52 lpa and lowest may vary around 3-4 lpa.after getting the degree i may opt for gate or mtech

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for merit category is around 22000 per semester .for management it will be 44000.for nri around 100000.for fee wavier and sc/ st students 4000 rupees is only needed.some scholarships are available for meritorious students.

Campus Life

On behalf of club activities i am not very active in clubs during this year,though i am a core member in a club.But during the first 2 years i was active and participated in many club activies.That made me realize my interest for different fields

Hostel Facilities

I stay as a paying guest.The rent is around 3000 per month.for food and other expenses total expenditure will be around 7000.Canteen food is good.it has great taste and quality.lh and mh facilities are provided by the college

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

I choose this college forseeing the placement opportunities and also alumni support provided by the college.i applied to cet and gec on top of this but couldn't make it for my desired branch.The main exam for entrance to this college is keam

Faculty

Some faculties in the college are really good while others are not upto the mark.The exams are difficult and students entering via lateral entry find it more difficult.The course curriculum is not relavant and doesnt make students industry ready

Night Life

The place is not very safe for students especially girls.Not very dangerous but the people here are somewhat orthodox and tou may get some looks.Another serious problem is stray dogs.gyms are available

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
