Likes
- The infrastructure of the college os above average, although yes the area of college os small.
- The clubs here are good. From genres like modelling, dancing, singing, acting to the ones like ncc, for all the technical stuffs and also an entrepreneurship club.
- Faculties are kind and yes there knowlege is above par.
Dislikes
- Campus area is quite small around 18 Acres.
- Girl students arent allowed to roam in the campus after 8 pm while boys are.
- The warden in the girls hostel is quite ignorant to the problems be it with your health issues or facility providation.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course has a great future electrical and computer. Its like CoRe with CoDe. Our exams are conducted once every month. The difficulty being easy to average in the mid semester exams and average to hard for the end semester.
Internships Opportunities
About the internships I have heard good companies come to take the students. But I have onlg completed my first sem and I am unaware of the details yet I have heard it from my seniors. Some the famous companies that come here are- Adani, Google, JP Morgan, Microsoft etc.
Placement Experience
The placement our college provide is around 90% of the eligible students with an average of 600000 INR. Rest my batch is the founding batch of the branch Electrical and Computer Engineering (ELCE) and so there arent any placements yet, although I have a bit high expectations from our Head Of Department Mr. Brijesh Gupta.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly tution fee for my batch is 1,40,000 INR per year. For hostels non ac rooms cost 107000 INR per year and ac rooms cost 134000 INR per year. 8000 ruppes is the examination fee per semester. If a student is detained or fails the semester examination, an amount of 12000 is to eb payed for the re-examination. There are some scholarship schemes provided by the Uttar Pradesh government for students in need.
Campus Life
Well there arebso many fests that take place in the college the biggest of them being ENDEAVOR and EPOQUE organised by collaboration of many clubs. These fests take place in March- June period. The central library of the college is quite fascinating I would say, I have found all the books I was ever looking for ( completely study basis). There is also a NGO namely Ek Prayas run by the students. Also the variety of clubs is awesome.
Hostel Facilities
Make sure to pre-book hostels as they fill up quite early. The girls hostel is provided with 2 study rooms, 1 gym and recreational room, badminton court, washing machine per floor with 20 rooms per floor both 2 seater nd 3 seater. Both Ac and non Ac rooms available. Water cooler per floor. 2 inductions per hostel. Meals are obviously not as good as you can get at home but it is still remarkable and there is no limit. For boys hostel everything is same except for the washing machine and induction.
Admission
The placement drive of KIET Group Of Institutions is better than other AKTU affiliated colleges. fee structure was also a factor. Admission in KIET Group Of Institutions are done on basis of either your JEE counselling or 12th boards percentage.
Faculty
1 faculty for 70 students in our branch. Our branch is new and established this year so the course structure is still being discussed and set. I especially like my maths faculty Ms Ritu Gupta, the way she handles the class with so much discipline and her way of teaching is incredible. Till now I have completed one semester out of 8 and I think the exams' difficulty level varies from average to hard. And only a few students failed.
Night Life
library for issuing closes at 5 pm. Cafeterias closes around 8 pm and a few other cafes' timing vary according to occasions otherwise they open till midnight. Girl students arent allowed to be roaming even in the campus after 8 pm. About the locality, its not very safe for girls especially at nights.
