Remarks
Overall i can say that this college is good in most of the aspects. Whether it is infrastructure or parking or quality of education and extracurricular activites. One thing is that the labs are not that much good. It must be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is excellent. There are total 8 semesters in 4 years of engineering. One is conducted mainly in november december and the other is conducted in april may. The academic system is autonomous. The semester exam contains paper of 60 marks and the rest 40 marks are divided into two parts. 20 for class test and 20 for Teachers assessment. Total 100 marks Grading system is followed to determine the performance of the student
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are excellent. More than 10 to 15 companies arrive for campus placemets in every branch. The companies like TCS bajaj L&T PGS arrived for placement till now. Employablity program is also conducted.
College Events
1. Wings :- It is the best technical event conducted by government college of engineering, Aurangabad. It is the national level event. Many colleges participates in these event. 2. Elegance :- It is the cultural event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible and not at all expensive in my opinion. When i took the admission the fees was around 62000 rs and i got my admission in tution fee waiver scheme due to which tution fees was free for me so i had to pay only 47000.
Fees and Financial Aid
For minority students like muslims the scholarship is about 25K per year and for reserved category students it is more. I dont know much about how much loans they provide. But for financially weaker stundents there are some loans facilities.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are best here. Every semester there is one departmental sports week and one college level sports week is conducted every year named as "Espirito". The name can change. Labs are good. Every year annual gathering also takes place where singing dancing and many other activities are portrayed.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is quite good. Many alumnis visit the college and give knowledge to the students about the current variations in the industrial sector and what skills are required. They also give references for internships.
Admission
I got my admission through the CAP round in second stage. The merit list was based on 60% jee mains + 40% Hsc board exams. The merit list displayed percentiles according to the weightage. My percentile was 96.97 And i got the mechanical branch in the second round due to the high cut-off in the first round.
Faculty
The faculty is good and helpful and are well qualified. All are having M.tech degree and some have Ph.d too. Most of the lectures are conducted. Practicals are also conducted. Guides are alloted for seminars and mini and final projects.
