Course Curriculum Overview

curriculum is about marine field and also include the basic engineering subjects marine field courses are attractive and understand more about shipbuilding industry engineering subjects are useable for real life problems and effective to improve the students knowledge

Internships Opportunities

internship opportunity are not done for me but they provide internship opportunity internship provide detailed knowledge of what we have studied cochin shipyard, blue indian shipyard, goa shipyard such shipyard are offering the internship opportunity

Placement Experience

currently placement of my college is good and they provide more opportunities vedam design ,arise ,infosys,etc companues are visited for our college placement for 7.5 cgpa and more is getting placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees i paid is approximately 90000 tution fee is 42000,caution fee 10000, registration fee500, development fee 100 etc i have lower income scholarship so i padi 90000 per year otherwise the total fee inculde the special fee 25000 and it is 125000per year

Campus Life

tech fest and arts day are conducted in our college also onam , christmas such celebration are conducted sports day conducted ocerall experience in the college is good facilities of progrmmes are good

Admission

mainly my college provide the naval architecture and ship building engineering course thats why i choose the college the college also conduct arts day ,and another technical expo etc admission process of my college is good and they select the admission through entrance exam and management seats etc

Faculty

faculty members are interactive to students and they effort to teach students , faculty to students relations are good they more friendly but also strict faculty members provide more advice and effective communication and teaching is good

Night Life

nite life of our college is good open the gym ande enjoy the night life of college through our students there is no such hangout places in our college hostel are good but timing is before7pm is closed

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
