- The environmet here is very good.With vast acres of lamd and departments scattered across gives a nice experience.
- The teachers here are well experienced and provide us with the notes which are not usually seen elsewhere.
- The roads here are all well connected to all the departments. And the infrastructure is good.
Dislikes
- There are no programmes here especially after the last years incident.
- Even though the vast area of the college is a good thing but walking to class is hectic.
- There are a lot of cows and dogs in this area.
Course Curriculum Overview
Safety and Fire engineering is the best in cusat.It offers an average salary of 13 lpa and highest of 24lpa by GAIL.The placements here are from great companies like GAIL, IOCL,BPL,ADANI,L&T etc. This curriculum is designed in such a way that it helps us do our job and succeed in this competing world
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunites are provided at the end of first year that is at the end of second semester and also after each year after that.It also gives us extra credits and the expwrience that we yearn for.
Placement Experience
The placement here is top notch especially for safety and fire engineering.For safety and fire average package is about 13lpa and highest of about 24lpa. This year about 16-20 students got placed in the range of 20-25lpa which is the best you could get in Kerala that too for a newbie. The companies visited are GAIL,IOCL,BPL,ADANI,L&T etc
Fees and Financial Aid
In cusat there are mainly two type of fee structure which are called state merit and all india merit.For state merit the annual fees would be around 50k and for all india merit it would be around 1lakh.The state merit would have greater cut off and hard to get and for all india a lower cut off.Any student in kerala can apply for both but a student from any other state can only apply for all india merit. For the completion of the course it would be around 2 lakh for state merit student and 4 lakh for all india merit student.
Campus Life
Club activities are the best here with many clubs that offer you all that you desire.There are clubs for designing cars, social work clibs, dance art clubs and all gives us extra credits. Sports here is also good with football basketball table tennis chess volleyball handball etc.
Admission
I chose this college on only one aspect SAFETY AND FIRE as it offers the highest placement anywhere in kerala you could ask for.It was simply the reason and cusat also had its reputation. The admission to Cusat is by writing seperate entrance test called CUSAT CAT.
Faculty
Faculty members are well qualified.There are many phd scholars here.Teachers teach well and provide us with all the notes required.But as there would be one in all colleges there are also some who are actually BAD. There are two internal exams and a sem exam.50 mark for internal and 50 for sem.Exams are easy to moderate.There are not much students that fail to clear the exam.
Night Life
The campus is on for all night.There are street lights all around the campus and would be packed with students especially in Amenity centre and the sports arena. The locality is very safe only you have to beware dogs

After learning about Safety and Fire engineering in Cusat,it was clear that it was the best option as it had the best placements and also industrial in cet was not good.
