Course Curriculum Overview

4

First of all i choose cse because it is in demanding right now. And also i have intereste in this. Curriculum is relevance of our course. In first semester we have to study basic science and humanities ,in which we have to study physics, chemistry, maths, english, electrical, workshop, engineering graphings, programming for problem solving. In first semester it does feel in real world when we attend lecture , but when we do practical in laboratory then we can feel it in real world. I think theoretical approach is not sufficient ,but it should applied form of approach in real practices. It provided a gap between exams of each subject, which is the best things.

Internships Opportunities

3

Yes lot of internship oppurtinities comes . Students gets internship very easily either by college or by online.Students can get interships even from 2nd year but mostly students prefer from gets 3rd year .Since the college is situated in the IT HUB so the students got internships very easily .

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester.there are so many companies visited in recent years like WIPRO, TCS, IBM, MICROSOFT, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, CTS, AMAZON, GOOGLE, DELOITTE, PAYTM, etc. Last year a student from CSE(AIML ) got 37 lacs package. some of our seniors got 8 to 9 lacs package. Average package of this college is 4 to 6 LPA. Mostly students got placed every year . About 80% students getting placements every year. My plans to get on campus placements after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Myself Md Farhan Ahmad.I am a 1st year student.I'm doing my B.Tech 1st year degree from Techno Main Salt Lake ,Kolkata in Computer Science Engineering. The fee structure for my course is affordable for me. As a student of middle class family from General category, I pay an annual tuition fee of ?161,000. In addition, there are lab and development fees of ?2,200, registration fees of ?500, and exam fees of ?1,200 per semester. Over the 4-year course duration, the total fees I will pay amount to ?6,05,000. The tuition fee initially decreases before gradually increasing during the later years of the course. For students in the TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) category, the total fees are significantly lower. In this category, the total fees for all 4 years are ?2,18,000, making it an excellent opportunity for deserving students. The college also offers several scholarships, especially for West Bengal students. Scholarships like SVMCM and Aikyashree are available, which are based on both merit and need. These scholarships provide significant financial relief and encourage academic excellence. Additionally, there are scholarships for students from other states as well, ensuring that financial assistance is available for a broader group of students.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is not so good . There are so many clubs like sports club, ankurans , anakhronos, eclectica, samarth , iic, etc.The clubs are focusing on social activities along with study . I personally liked technotkarsh which is sports club of our college . There are some clubs related to coding and technical activities like geekonix. it organize hackathon for new ideas.

Admission

Actually i'm from Bihar and i gave the JEE Mains exam and i got 88.5%ile .since i'm from greneral category so i don't get admission in any NIT. So i decide to give WBJEE exam and i came here kolkata and give wbjee exam. i got 5784 rank in WBJEE exam. After that i seat in counselling process and through counselling i got admission in Techno Main Salt Lake in CSE branch. In first round of seat allotment i decided to upgrade and i done but in second round same branch and college i have got.My college accept WBJEE exam, JEE Mains exam, and through management quota. 80% seats are reserved for WBJEE students , 10 % seats are reserved for JEE Mains , and 10% seats are reserved for management quota or ditrect admission.Students are mostly preferred WBJEE exam.In this college cutoffs for cse for wbjee students is 4K to 7K.

Faculty

3

There are so many amazing faculties in our college. Some of them are feel boring during class and laboratory, but most of them are very amazing and teach us very simply . The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60.faculties are very kind . They teach the student very kindly. Students also respects the faculties members. Till now Sudipta Bhaumik sir and Srabani Mam are the best faculties for me. I enjoyed their lecture very much. Sometime Sudipta Bhaumik sir punished me and after that he appreciate me many times.Exams are quite difficult . In previous year there are 20% students in 1st semester got back ,mainly in physics and maths.

Night Life

4

The college does not have any hostels in campus. Students lives in PG outside the college .Mostly the PG's found 2 km away from the college .College doesn't have its own gym. but it has canteen and cafeterias.College have a small library but it is not the place for reading because in the library there is always so many noises. There are so many tea stall and cafeterias outside the college and food corners. If you have freinds then you will enjoy the campus life otherwise not.Outside the college there are so many parks .In night students walking every where , there is no restrictions safety problem.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
