Remarks

It is one of the best engineering colleges in Northern India. Great faculty, good infrastructure and extracurricular activities are great. May need certain improvements to new the among the best in the whole country

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It is compact and up to date with the latest trends. Students get an insight of things in a better way. Although some improvements may be needed in the course curriculum but that will come with time.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college does provide internship for all branches of engineering taught in the College.I had a very good time doing internship recently in Faridabad,Haryana. The host institute had a good system and things were arranged in perfect order and went smoothly

Placement Experience

3.5

Although the placements and job opportunities in the college may not be the best in the country but the Stastics show the improvement our college has gone through, year by year. Soon our college will compete with the best in the country

College Events

4.5

Apart from festivals and other holidays various events are held on other occasions 1.Sports events 2.Freshers party 3.Techvaganza, our own Techfest 4.Convocation 5.Alumni meetups 6.Various other events like debates, seminars etc almost on daily basis

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is a government college the fees you have to pay depends on the category you belong to and your income Talking about a general student with income above 5lakhs, fees is a bit too much(65k per sem + hostel and mess fees 17k).

Fees and Financial Aid

Firstly there is availability of scholarships through the national scholarship portal where you get scholarship on the basis of your income. Apart from that college provides educational loan through JK BANK

Campus Life

3.5

Certainly very good but could be better and the improvements are coming as the time goes by. Sports facilities and other extracurricular facilities are good Labs are good too but not the best and could be better

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Certainly not the best but very good infrastructure and good facilities here. Although in first two semesters 4 students may have to share a room but higher years that is reduced and the overall it is a good experience

Alumni/Alumna

We have a vast alumni network and they remain in touch with each other and the college as well Almost all the Seniors are very helpful in various ways. Firstly they help in settling down in the environment and help in various other ways

Exam Structure

Since our college is an autonomous institution exam papers and other related things are done by he faculty here. In a semester we have one mid term examination and one Major paper and remaining marks are given on the basis of internal assessment. Overall good exam structure

Admission

After the JEE mains exams counselling was conducted online by JOSAA. After paying the counselling fees and going through the process I got my preferred choice and chose a date for registration and admission process. Had to take some documents there and get the asmissont process done.

Faculty

4

Besides the permanent faculty here we have a good number of contractual faculty. Some of them are the best teachers I have ever had. They are really good and some have very unique teaching methods as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
