Course Curriculum Overview

One exam at the end of semester makes it convenient form me to explore different clubs and to work on some skills. You can easily make a way out of it , if your preparation is decent. The frequency of exams makes it easy for you to work on your skills

Fees and Financial Aid

For btech it is 6.05 lakhs overall for 4 years , That is 75-80 thousand per semester and yes it is increasing but when it comes to Kolkata's affordable lifestyle and techno main Salt Lake placement percentage it is good.

Campus Life

Well the campus is too short but the clubs tmsl offer you with really good and humble seniors surpasses that short campus thing Honestly speaking u ain't got no such campus life but you can definitely enhance your community skills or tech based skills with good guidance in this collage

Admission

My rank was 19k in wbjee, And from the very first day I was sure about my choice of tmsl because of the affordability , non strictness, good aluminia and decent fees structure with decent placements. I did choose ece because of my low rank in wbjee for i didn't pay heed to maths and wbjee is all about maths

Faculty

I am a first year student so I am yet to know all the faculties but as far as I have gone through the classes for a first year they are decent There is only one exam i.e, end sem, excluding internals 70 marks of sem exam and 30 for internals

Night Life

The collage itself has no hostle in it , but you can opt for hostle or pg the concerned collage authority will help you, well the pg life u hard to manage because of the food quality so i would suggest to opt for a flat making a grp of 4-5 people and arrange a maid who will cook and clean

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
