My college moments

The course curriculum is very helpful and equally useful. It is always sticked to real world applications. Every month anninternal exam is held in the form of ppt presentation or report writing , quiz and written . Along with that two practical exams are also held. One gets enough time to prepare for the exams.

Various companies like PWC, TCS, EY, provide internships to students eligible. Roles like analyst are offered during internship. But companies do not come for internship in the college, the students have to crack it on their own. Companies come for placements.

The students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, IBM, ACCENTURE, CAPGEMINI, PWC, L&T etc. frequently visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was 60lpa provided by LinkedIn which was off campus and the on campus highest package was of 24lpa. The average package for tech branches goes upto 6-7lpa and overall goes upto 4lpa.

The year wise fees would be 150000rs. The tution fees is 75000 per semester and the cautionndeposit at the time of admission is 5000rs. The uniform, bag and the books are included in this amount. Some students get tution fees wavier who are eligible for it i.e they have to pay less amount as compared to the normal fees.

The name of the annual fest is ANAKHRONOS. The freshers party is named as PRARAMBH. Various sports activities are held frequently in the college and the books are available in the library before every semester. Various clubs are also present here.

Two to three beds are present in a room with one cupboard each for a student. The food quality is decent. The hostel is affordable and charges a nominal amount . Proper timely meals are provided in the mess.

I also applied for VIT AP, DCSE BANGLORE but the fees of this college is way more affordable as compared to these two and the placements are also good here as it is situated in the it hub of the city Kolkata. The admission is provided here on the basis of WBJEE rank and JEE MAINS rank.

The relationship between the students and the faculties is good. The faculties are equally helpful and supportive. They are approachable at the time of any issue or problems. My favourite faculty is Suman sir who is the faculty of Mechanical workshop. He is very supportive and his way of teaching and performing the experiment is very interesting. I didn't like the faculty named Dola ma'am as she doesn't listen to anyone and always gets sticked to her own rules. Internally there are four exams held along with two practical exams and one final semester exam which is held by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University.

No interview or gd rounds were held for the admission. Admission is given on the basis of WBJEE rank and JEE MAINS rank and through management quota. The written test i.e WBJEE is moderate to difficult level of examination.

There is no official hostel inside the campus but the college has collabed with one hostel which is around 2 kms away from the campus. Two play grounds are present inside the campus. Library and food canteens are present inside the campus.
