The HIT story

Data science is the most original version of computer science engineering which has a great placement till date. Curriculum teaches us different languages in Coding which makes us future ready .But all the teaching methods , subjects are old which had been studying since 2000 . They should change the methods of teaching. Frequency and timing of exam is manageable and it's not that difficult if you study well .

Tcs and congnizant offers majorly internship here. If you want a internship here you have to work very hard as internship culture is not ver good here . But if you are a hardworking student with good coding skills you can get a pretty good internship here

Students can get placed in the starting of 7th semester as companies starts visiting the college. Tcs , Wipro ,cognizant are major recruiters and recently for CSE Aiml there were 180 students and 155 offers were made .The highest package on campus is 33 lakhs and off campus is 45 lakhs . Average package is around 4 lakhs. 80-85% students are placed . My plan is to get placed in a good company with a great package.

I am Ashish Kumar Jha from darbhanga Bihar. I had secured 14693 rank in wbjee and got CSE-DS in Haldia institute of technology.I had opted for this Collaege because it gives a decent placement as compared to its fees.I had paid 1.10 lakh for first semester including hostel(not mess).Second sem fee is 81k including hostel(not mess).So in total I will be paying 1.91 lakh for first year. If you exclude hostel then fee is 5.83 lakh for 4 years.All course in b.tech fee is same here. Management quota fees varies from different branch to branch like in CSE main it is nearly 4-4.5 lakh . For specialization like AIML,DS,CS it's 3-4 lakh . You can get any core branch in 1-2 lakh.

Rivera is the most famous fest in my college and it's held generally in April. The range is books is very good in library. Most classrooms are equipped with AC and smart TV. Sports and extracurricular activities are great there is anually tournament of all the sports . There are many society and clubs like THE HIT TIMES , IST , IEEE they are tech group which provides an overall development.

There is a fan, table, chair for every student in the room.Meal quality is pretty ok not so good . Hostel is quite affordable 24k per year excluding mess.There are certain places kshudiram nagar and Gandhi nagar where you can find a good rented room.

I had selected this college over all the colleges and got this . I had selected techo main , heritage etc . I choose this college other than any because it's best at my rank . Wbjee,Jee and management quota is the all the three ways for admission in this college. If you get 10-15 k rank you can get any specialization in CSE there . And above 7k rank can get you CSE core.

The faculty to student ratio is preety well and they are all helpful. My English teacher is the best , soumishtha mam . She has a great knowledge in the subject and speaking English is on top notch level. As of now there are no such faculties that I didn't like all are good. There are 3 CT exam before the semester exams . The marks are given based on the credit points each subject carry .

Gym is inside the college but it's timing for first year students is very strict as set by seniors. There is also 2-3 stores where all essential thing are available. They all closed till 7:30 pm. Hostel gate closes at 8 pm for first year. First of all this area is not safe to roam around at night and it's not recommended for first year students to roam at night also due to fear of seniors .
