How is Techno Main Salt Lake(TMSL)

As I'm from Btech(CSE IOT) which is actually a new branch here so there's not much facilities for this branch but still it's good. But because of new branch I've not idea of the stats of placement record as first branch of IOT was in 2023 and we're second branch admitted in 2024. There's no issue in Timing of exams as it usually same in every college.

Companies like Wipro, Infotech, TCS, Cognizant mainly comes for placement and I've heard students from start of 3rd year year gets internship from college and Some students even from 2nd year gets internship but it's out campus intership. I've not participate still in any type of such internship so I've much idea about it.

Basically students from 3rd only becomes eligible for campus placements. Some students even in 3rd semester crack some jobs on campus or off campus. Companies like Wipro, Infotech, TCS visit mostly. Average package goes to 5lpa and Max 40lpa. Almost 90% of CSE students gets placed every year.

My fees for the whole course for 4yrs is actually 605000rs which is quite average if you compare it with other private colleges. Yes, the fees increases with the time. And if you're taking admission in this college with management quota then your fees can be a quite more than that. And also if you've good rank with tfw catogery then you can pay less for the same course.

Fest are very majorly held here. Students also enjoy the fest which happens in techno university. And it is said that TMSL organise the best fest in the Kolkata. As I know last year Shilpa Rao came to the college. College provide books every semester and it is actually free of cost. After you semester exam ends you have to give back the books and take next semester books. Every year two sports event are held in which most of students participate.

I applied for Haldia institute of technology and Heritage institute of technology including techno main salt lake but because of my rank i didn't got heritage which is considered better in comparison of TMSL but if we compare TMSL with Haldia having a lot better compus area still TMSL is very much better than Haldia. And main reason is placement and it's location as TMSL is located in Kolkata main city but Haldia is quite inside. Even Haldia face issue like Ragging. So I'm happy that I'm not in Haldia but in TMSL.

Faculties are quite good here. Some are from good colleges like IIT Kharagpur. They(faculties) try their best to make you learn everything but many times you'll not understand what they are saying because of their Bengali accent. As college is affiliated is affiliated from Makaut(Abdul Kamal University) which is a good thing in case of placement but it is issue in case of exams. Everything is quite strict and sometimes you mistake then there's no coming back.

We have no gym in college. We've library but it is too small having the capacity of 50-60 students and we've 2-3 canteens in college but they are quite high in price so we basically buy food stuff from outside the college. College don't have it's own hostel which is one of the major issue of students. Yes, locality is very much safe here and you've various places to hangout outside the college. Moreover College Location is quite a lot good. But the college is closed at night.
